Been coming here for a bit now, sadly it’s become a fitness influencer type gym. Tripods setup everywhere people filming themselves, impossible not to get in these videos god knows where they end up. Hard to focus on your workout when you’re constantly having to move around so you don’t end up on somebody’s public fitness page. Such an invasion of privacy, no policing or signs about people filming themselves , people treat it like it’s their home gym with no regard to anyone else. Even at 5:30 AM there’s 5-6 people doing this at a time, taking up large amounts of real estate and performing in front of the camera. Hopefully something is done to counter this.

One of the better gyms out there, from someone whom have been a member of Philly fitness, sweat, and Barry’s this is by far my most loved space .

Good location, nice and clean. Staff seems engaged and interested in helping the gym-goers. The machines are cleaned frequently. Specifically I've been taking Katelyn Constantini's classes once a week and after just 6 weeks, I'm seeing improvement! 🍑One suggestion - please install a water bottle fountain! (I really hate putting my bottle under the fountain where people put their mouths! I end up running out of water and just go home.)

So after I've been there almost a month, and its B.Y.O.M. (bring your own music) followed by Music free Monday, and it continues. Not that Im complaining about the volume. Ask Patrick at front desk, he went down with me.. It doesnt work in many spots throughout the zone five as well as the area that has treadmills. Thanks! you guys can do it. Thank you.

Clean and friendly gym. New equipment is added all the time and the smoothies are a great end after a workout. The turf area is my favorite when you need to mix it up from the free weights. The staff is very attentive and willing to go out of there way to make this the best gym in Philly. Retro is the best value gym compared to other places that cost a lot more.

Came in to Retro Fitness Spring Garden location for a smoothie and it was not good. Tasted very artificial! $7 wasted! Never again.

By far my favorite gym in the northeast. I have travelled throughout PA and Jersey visiting almost all Retros. This location by far has the best staff, incredible cleaning crew, vast and unique equipment. Classes and with a mega membership PARKING! Showers are always clean and tanning booth and hydro massage are where it’s at. They make it make sense here. Get yourself a membership and see what it’s all about. Hey Eric, give these folks a SOLID raise for doing it BEST!!!!

They mishandled my account, overcharging me, then did not offer a full refund.edit in response to the comment below:Nothing you've said addresses my review.1. I was told directly that my account was frozen - it was NOT frozen and I was overcharged as a result.2. When I discovered your error, I did not receive a refund for your mistake. Of course you can give me a refund for your mistake - "we cannot" is not a reason for not doing so.As a note, the lack of documentation for my request to freeze back in October is an issue on your end, not mine.

Is proof of vaccination still in effect? A while back, I wasted about 20 minutes completing all required forms to become a member, to end up being asked for proof of vaccination. Just ok customer service would have gotten that information across, upfront, if we understand how precious time is.

Yes it’s just a gym and it’s a chain but this is the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. They are constantly making updates to provide a better experience. If you live in the area and are looking for a gym, this is by far the best choice.
