The YMCA of the Treasure Coast has always come through for me and my family! Whether it’s with Childcare, sports fundamentals, or fun fitness classes, I can always count on a positive environment and staff that really care about us. I’m so thankful that the Y has been a part of my life for over 20 years!

For a place that promotes swimming I was highly disappointed with the customer services provided by Seth Gil and Karen. I had set up private swimming lessons and after cancelled/delayed lessons I communicated my concerns/disappointment and it took a month to get this matter resolved. My child only received 1 lesson. Very disappointed as the customer service was very cold.

We have been coming to the YMCA in Stuart for about 3 years. Over the past year we have noticed some major changes in the quality of this program. The camps are run by teenagers and it wasn’t until the last week that they had finally added my child to the login roster to be accounted for at drop and pick up from the camp. We reached out to the director many times due to concerns with safety regarding the checking in and checking out process.I have my child enrolled in basketball. He says he hates basketball because the kids are too rough and he’s not learning anything. There is absolutely no coaching or structure to the practices. We paid a decent fee to be a part of the basketball program in the hopes our child will learn about the game and develop some skills. The attached photo is a picture of one of the coaches rolling around on the floor on the court. She did not fall. She’s just laying there. She comes to practice barefoot each and every week, stands around, and does nothing. The final straw was our experience leaving the center this evening after “practice”. As we left today there was a man living in his van in the parking lot. It was apparent that he resided in his van. He gathered some items and entered the YMCA to bathe in the locker room. There’s no one at the front desk checking people in.I am concerned about the safety of my children on numerous levels. We will not be returning to the YMCA. They NEED to do better! It’s very and disappointing and disturbing.

I’m not too happy with their swim lessons or the woman who runs them. She is lazy, disorganized and rude. I have seen her scream at children in her swim club- as a parent I do not feel like that fosters a productive learning environment. …
