Maine Athletic Complex

We LOVE the MAC! A great place for all sorts of sports and my kids always feel welcome and at home. They are doing an excellent job keeping things safe by following Covid protocols all while getting kids back on the field.

We have used the Facilities at the MAC for Lacrosse, Open Gym on School Vaca Weeks and Attended Birthday Parties. The MAC has so much space to run around, is always clean, and very well maintained. Easy to access and only 5 mins from 95!

As a Mom to an aspiring young athlete I find myself in the strangest of places to watch my son play sports. Cold mornings on soccer fields, super hot baseball fields in the heat of the summer, and the skating rink where I can't feel my toes. The MAC isn't one of THOSE places. I love when we have sports held at the MAC. There are places for me to work, couches to watch the practices, and plenty of parking so I don't have to hike to the car when we forget a water bottle. Of course, with COVID there are more limitations on being a parent observer, but the owners are doing great by following regulations to keep our kids healthy. I'm hoping my kiddo sticks with sports that bring us to the MAC more!

Wonderful facility. Kid-focused (all ages) and fun. Run by two talented and kind humans who are also phenomenal lacrosse players/coaches. Highly recommend!!

Parking lots were in need of plowing and was treacherous trying to get into facility. The facility once in is very spacious with plenty of room for boys to practice.

We love the MAC! My son has had his birthday party here twice and I bet we'll do it again. The kids love it because they can play organized games or just goof around. I love it because the owners make it easy to book, it's always clean, and the price is right. We also go to open gym regularly and my kids have a blast. It's our favorite indoor play space.

This is an awesome indoor sports place! My kids LOVE going to Birthday Parties here and we all thoroughly love coming to open gym! My daughter has practices for LAX here. And my husband has his Company’s Christmas party here! The Owners are great people- welcoming, kind, and accommodating! I read a previous review about the lack of heat. As it is true, it is perfect for the ones who are on the green as you get sweaty pretty quickly running around. If you are there as a spectator, the cool air is easily tolerated with a hat, sweatshirt, and a coffee, latte, or tea. Great space to socialize, watch what’s happening on the green, and/or get caught up on your device with their free WiFi. Highly recommend this Indoor Space!

I saw a review that says this is one of the worst facilities in Portland, and I cannot for the life of me wrap my mind around that. We had a birthday party there recently with 40 other kids and their parents, and no one had anything but complimentary things to say. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this space for an indoor sports party. (It does not have to be limited to sports.) I'm pretty sure other families who were in attendance will be booking their own parties there. It is affordable, can accommodate a huge crowd, they have their own parking lot that is spacious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I had this party sight unseen before we showed up for the party. I was scared, I won't lie, but it blew my expectations out of the water. It was awesome. I can assure you I will be booking with them again. As far as it being cold, we had kids from age 2 to teenagers, and had adults. No one was "freezing," even the people just sitting around. On the chilly side, perhaps, but not freezing (and I'm from the south and hate Maine's winters and our party was on a particularly cold day), and it was a great temp for people being active....the whole purpose of the space. I understand everyone's experience and expectations are different, but I truly couldn't have asked for anything more than what we received. It's an absolute great space and it is beyond words for the price point. So many other indoor places charge astronomical amounts per kid over a certain (low) number of kids, and MAC can accommodate any party. Okay, I've gone on enough, but I hope you don't hesitate to book MAC, I'm about to book again a year in advance just to get the weekend I want! ;>

One of the worst facilities in Portland. No heat ever. No one to answer questions on site. I emailed them to check about the availability for a birthday party and they took their own time responding. Have to come here every week for soccer and most parents are in jackets, hats and gloves as it so freaking cold.
