I have been going there for a little while now as a disabled combat Veteran. Staff have always been super nice. They were collecting donations to give a Veteran a free years of gym membership. They called me up and gave me that free year. I am super excited about that. Thought it to be a blessing from God. I will take advantage of this. That body pump class is no joke!!!

Awesome staff, awesome members, great classes, great pool. It's a smaller location than other Ys in the area but the community more than makes up for it.

Checked in as a visiting member, since I was traveling for work and needed a treadmill and row machine for my workout. The staff was nice and got me checked in right away. The gym is a bit small, but had everything I needed.

It's not as large or as well-equipped as most of the other YMCAs but as a semi-frequent user for the past few years, we've been perfectly happy with our Y. We've come to know the staff well, our child takes regular Sea Pups swim classes, and she loves the Kids Night Out on Friday nights. Did we wish it had a larger pool, bigger gym, and newer facilities? Heck yes! But size ain't everything and the hope is that they eventually expand and modernize the facility.

Despite some negative comments left by either members or non-members about this facility, I still like it. Yes, the facility is small and cramped compared to other branches in the metro Providence area. I am a member of the Bayside Y that has gone through extensive renovations recently. This Y is due for an upgrade, however still provides the basic services and offers great values

this place sucks! absolutely disgraceful that this is the only Y and is the capital city Y.horrible, limited, outdated facilities, very disorganized, class schedules as posted have wrong times.there are many other better gyms in PVD for the same amount of money.my sister who travels all over the country & works out at Ys everywhere was shocked that this was the only Y in PVD and said tiny Podunk towns all over the country have Ys that far surpass this dump!
