I'm a long time member and big fan. Michael bought the gym some years ago and has made wonderful changes - e.g. updating the place, adding a nutritionist, stretch classes. It's a very clean and welcoming place. The trainers are great and work with you to achieve your goals. Whenever it's open you can use the ellipticals, treadmills, or bike on your own. And, if a room is available, you can exercise on your own - weights, floorwork, bands, etc. If you're looking for an alternative to the mega gyms with all their noise, chaos, and impersonality, give Fitness a try.

Both my grandma and my mother had been bedridden for many years when I was a toddler and in my teens. I remember vividly that helping them get through every day was a tremendous job not only for me but also for my four siblings. As a result, I have committed myself to staying strong and healthy since then. Living healthily and independently is my ultimate goal.I belong to the baby-boomer generation. Fitness wasn’t a fad when we were young. Not many of us knew about muscles neither. We were too busy with our child-rearing and career pursuing to notice that the strength of our muscles has been weakening gradually as we get older year by year. By the time I retired five years ago, I already lost body shape and muscle strength. I could not enjoy working in my garden and holding my new-born grandchildren anymore. Sometimes, a little movement would cause unexpected pain shooting out from anywhere of my body. Fortunately, most of my young family members are fitness enthusiasts. Encouraged and inspired by them, my husband and I started to plan to find a one-to-one personal trainer. We hope through guided exercise regimens we could rebuild our muscle strength and body shape.About a year ago, we moved to Providence. We checked around and finally chose Fitness Together (FT) to begin with. We found FT offers the most straightforward programs and options. No membership and walking-in trainings are the two options most attractive to us, as we just need to rebuild and strengthen our muscles for necessary flexibility and balancing. We have been with FT for more than 6 months. We are very pleased with the results we have gained. “You both look very spirited, in good shape, and seem to lose much weight,” said many of our friends when we met them lately. “What’s the secret?”, asked they! Exercising and exercising with a good personal trainer! Twice a week, 45 minutes each! IMHO, afordibility, convenience, friendliness, and effectiveness are what FT at Providence is about!

I have been training here for years and will be for many more. The trainers are engaged, knowledgeable, and supportive. The facilities are clean, accommodating, and welcoming with fresh fruit and fluffy towels in good supply. Most importantly each client's training regimen, motivational support, and nutrition counseling is personalized with attention to past injuries, individual environmental challenges, and personal style.

If you want personal attention and an exercise plan that meets your needs...this is the place. In the past I have gotten hurt exercising with a group or in class. The staff and trainers at Fitness Together are both professional and knowledgeable. They make the whole experience fun...it seems like such a luxury to have a personal trainer in a personal gym, interestingly enough the cost is very reasonable for the service given.
