I'm so thankful to have Iyengar Yoga Source in my life. They've seen me through the early parenting years, the peri-menopause experience, and bouts of back pain and they are my go-to source of self-care, physical therapy, cognitive challenge, and community. All the teachers are great and incredibly knowledgeable, and Kathleen's (who owns the studio) enthusiasm for yoga is infectious.

Every instructor in this yoga studio deserves a 5 star rating. I learn something new with each instructor and with each class I take. I always feel inspired and rejuvenated after every class.

I totally believe the Iyengar method of teachings, the seriousness and excellence of the teachers. I have been attending classes at the studio for over 15 years . They never closed during the pandemic and kept teaching virtually via Zoom. I started with Linda DeCarlo the owner and during the pandemic Kathleen Swanson became the owner , but Linda DeCarlo is still teaching. Even at age 82, I learn something new, every class. It strengthens your inner core, balance and your mind. After a 90 minute class, I am always rejuvenated and never want to miss a class.

If you have yet to attend the Back Care Yoga Class taught by Paul Boorom, you might want to check it out.As a person living with a spinal fusion, I can attest to the value and validity of Paul’s teaching.Paul provides excellent instruction for stabilizing the hips, activating the abdomen and maintaining correct alignment. His comprehensive approach is the foundation through which a strong and healthy back may be achieved. Please don’t miss the opportunity to attend Back Care Class on Thursday’s at 10 AM at Iyengar Yoga Source in Providence. It’s a Gem!Janet B.

I have been a student/practitioner at IYS for over twelve years, The Iyengar method is intelligent, thoughtful and deeply interior. I feel blessed to have happened upon this discipline and studio. The teachers are all incredibly well trained, inspiring and sensitive to every student’s unique needs. I cannot recommend IYS enough!

The Iyengar method is challenging for the most advanced practitioners and completely accessible for the least. I've tried other classes over the past twenty years and these are on another level - the attention to alignment brings profound changes, strength and overall fitness for the patient student not looking for a quick fix. Linda is amazing, a world-class teacher, and we're lucky to have her in RI!

I've been attending classes at IYS for over a year now. Linda is a wonderful instructor whose philosophy of "don't try to do the impossible" has helped me become stronger and more flexible without injuring myself by trying to do too much too quickly. The IYS studio is peaceful and relaxing. If improving mind and body is one of your New Year's resolutions I highly recommend trying an introductory class or two!
