Jala is truly a gem! Jala offers an authentic experience honoring the roots and traditions of Yoga. The teachers and students alike create an inclusive and welcoming community and environment. The space is clean and bright with beautiful views. Bristol is an incredibly talented and generous teacher/studio owner, with a clear passion for Yoga philosophy and serving others. She has helped me progress in my practice greatly and really "walks the walk" as they say!

Of all the studios I’ve been to Jala is truly the best! Bristol is a wealth of yoga knowledge and support (literally, when it’s handstand time), and just a kind, funny, and lovely person. I especially appreciate the care Jala is taking to keep their students safe amid the ongoing covid-19 pandemic — so grateful to be able to practice in the studio knowing that Bristol is taking every precaution. Love you Jala!!!

I've been a student at Jala since the studio opened and am always impressed by the beauty and cleanliness combined with excellent instruction and care from the teachers. I've been to many studios and know that Jala is a special and welcoming place that is filled with positive energy. Classes are appropriate for all levels, with modifications offered for those who need them or guidance provided for those looking to advance their practice. Students can be sure they will have a safe and rewarding practice...when I roll out my mat here I know I am on my way to total bliss.

Favorite yoga studio in the Providence area out of 7-10 I tried. The jivamukti yoga classes are the perfect balance of calming, energizing and thoughtful while also helping you to progress with yoga poses if you'd like to. I'd never tried jivamukti before going to this studio. I always left feeling rejuvenated. Knowledgeable staff. Lovely peaceful studio. Not so crowded like a couple of other studios in town.

Bristol has created a unique and magical thing: a yoga studio that is warm, welcoming, and beautiful; yet approachable. Her teaching achieves that impossible combination of being fun and laid-back yet absolutely serious about passing on the teachings of the yogic lineage. In a world where watered-down yoga classes are a dime a dozen, at Jala you'll get a great workout but more importantly, really learn how to walk the yogic path beyond just the physical postures. Couldn't recommend more highly!

This is as pure of a yoga studio as you will visit in Rhode Island. Bristol begins her classes with some Hindu philosophy, teachings and meditation, all of which help to bring a true yogi spirit and mindfulness into your daily life. I find her teachings to be interesting, and quite helpful and practical in negotiating life's challenges. She also invites you to try more difficult poses, opening up different parts of your body. She is willing to assist you gently to ensure proper technique and form. This is a must visit studio for any true yogi!

Was visiting East Providence. Great studio. Loved George's class.
