LA Fitness

Very poor and incompetent management (used to be much better years ago). Staff only cares about sales. Equipment and locker rooms aren’t cleaned as frequently as in the past. Equipment that is broken or needs repairs sits at times for months. Most members seem as if they are members through benefits (insurance etc) and have no respect for the facility, in my opinion worst gym in the area.

A very clean and neat place. Customer service is great. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Modern design. Clean. Free weights are in disarray- due to the labeling system. Something management can fix to encourage members to put weights back.

The general manager is a Cool guy and made a good first experience at LA Fitness. Clean gym and good management!

This is the second time I’ve come and the jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool is freezing. I even called to check and make sure they were working before I came. Disrespectful!

General manager Ricky barged into my discussion at the end of my personal trainer session. My personal trainer was wonderful, but this was clearly a very difficult thing for me. He saw that weakness as an opportunity to come in for a hard sell. Started off talking about social anxiety in his own life, and tried to use mental health as approach point for a hard sell. After telling him no 7 times, I said out loud "I have told you no 7 times and you are still talking"... and he kept going! I had to walk out. I find it gross to use someon's mental health this way. I am canceling my membership and going elsewhere.

The sauna is disgusting and smells horrible . The pool has been broken for 5 weeks another member said when I asked why the pool and hot tub was closed. The entire place needs cleaned the men’s locker room and showers are gross mold on shower curtains also I walked from the shower to the locker I was using and my feet were covered in floor dirt I was at this gym at 8:30am I would like to think that the floor would not be that dirty first thing in the morning

Honest review- been going for yearsNew equipment is nice. Maintenance is needed on several peices of equipment. Seems to be ignored or just not checked. Turf field was cool at first. Feels like it's a waste of space now. It does seem like people use it and those who do, like it.The gym etiquette is horrible as of 2020. The "sign up and bring all your friends free" deal ruined the vibe. People leave weights on machines and put dumbbells wherever. My wife actually rarely comes because of this.Bathrooms need WORK. Every other dispenser is empty. Papertowls jammed or empty.Staff is often seen sitting at front desk on phones. There used to be people cleaning all day and putting weights back where they belong.A gym of this quality needs management and staff to support. Would be 5 star if these minor things were fixed

I go here everyday, one of the best gym in Wyomissing/Reading area. Lot of options here to keep yourself fit.
