I can't say enough about this place. Master Jim brings out the best in you. He built confidence in my kids and me. He held my kids accountable for themselves. The other people studying there are also amazing. It is like a family. They are all welcoming of anyone.

I love the master there and the martial arts I did with him. Master Jim is truly an amazing man with a love of his art and the people he works with. I moved away but still go back as often as I can because I love my time in the studio. If you're looking for martial arts for yourself or your kids, don't think--just go.

This school was life-changing for me. The head instructor, Master Jim, is a phenomenal man who teaches much more than just kung-fu, but the art of being a warrior both on the mat and in life. My experience with the people there was very positive and I loved every moment of it. I have since moved away, but still return from time to time to visit Master Jim and the others. I would absolutely recommend at least trying PhD Martial Arts if you're looking at it.

I requested to stop both verbally and in writing and asked the staff to stop them taking the payment out of our bank. Months have went by and they refuse to stop take our money. I have ok left messages and no one calls me back. They have taken almost $500 more than they should. I feel he hijacked my account. This is not an honorable way to run a business.

A great place for children and adults to learn self defense, self discipline, and so much more. A family atmosphere where students are made to feel welcome and encouraged. The children's program is top notch, with classes offered 4 days a week.

So much more than just self-defense! Not only has our son learned impressive martial arts skills. He has gained much confidence and self-discipline, learned conflict resolution skills and emotional intelligence. All while maintaining the "I can do better" mindset. Thanks Master Jim!

Canceled our membership this year in February 2018 of this year. Agreed to the 30 day cancellation policy. But their third party billing company is still trying to collect tuition as of August 2018 I’ve tried calling to resolve this with no return phone calls. Very unprofessional and I’m quite disappointed with this company who is supposed to be teaching children honor and respect.

A great martial art to study!Honor and Integrity are NOT something you should expect from this establishment.We left the state of CA in August 2017, went thru all the appropriate paperwork to cancel, and as of March 2018, we are still disputing charges to my credit card.

I started with Master Jim back in 1998. Stayed until I moved out of the State in 2013. I earned my 3rd Degree Black Belt in the art. I had the privilege of learning this great art from a humble man who’s goal is to help raise a new generation of people who act with honor and integrity. He truly cares about the people in the community.The art is amazing. It teaches not just self defense but how to be a better person physically, socially, and mentally regardless of age or gender. I had the privilege to teach alongside Master Jim for almost 10 years. He was and is a good role model.
