TLDR: Great people, great facilities, and great culture. BNKR is terrific!I was looking for a gym that could push my limits on athleticism and strength as they were at an all time low. I am typically just training as a long distance runner, but wanted something to build total body strength without having to develop my own routines. I have always been skeptical of crossfit gyms/culture as it always seemed over the top and cult-like from long ago. I was pushed to try one by my sister who joined a gym in ATL. I am happy to say that I was very wrong about my preconceived notions (at least with respect to BNKR)! I am super happy with the results and feel like I am already much stronger with returning athleticism that I have not tapped into since probably HS/college.Here is my review of the BNKR gym as I just finished the 3 month trial and have already renewed for longer:Fitness: The fitness programming is great. It really focuses on all aspects of the body. I feel as though I have gotten much stronger across all muscle groups (even my long, lanky bird legs are getting stronger). I really appreciate the modifications they promote if you are not functionally ready for some of the olympic style lifts). They offer modified/scaled workouts, a hustle workout (speed), and machine shop options (more intense) in every workout that day. A lot of options to make you feel comfortable.Coaches: The coaches are terrific. They are really welcoming and do an excellent job of training you. I was very much new to crossfit in general and was unfamiliar with almost all of the kinetic/momentum-based movements. Not only do they help you during warmups/the actual workouts with form and function, but coaches are always there and have stopped what they were doing in the gym to come over and coach me before classes start and during open gym times. Coaching was important to me as injuries can really set you back and you really want experienced and knowledgeable coaches at the gym.Culture: I can see why it is a prevailing joke in the population that "the first rule of crossfit is you always talk about crossfit." I can only speak for this specific crossfit gym, but it really seems like a great gym with great people that you can go to workout and treat as a refuge. I have met some really great people in this gym in a short time and they have all been welcoming and motivating everyday.

I have been coming to this gym for about a year now. The gym itself is nice, towels are provided, equipment is taken care of, and showers are available. There are also drinks available for purchase. The workouts are Crossfit style. They can be scaled down in weight or movements for those with injuries and/or lower levels of fitness. The coaches are amazing and bring great energy. They are also very helpful when it comes to proper form for movements.Whether you are young, old, out of shape, in shape, or injured. The coaches at BNKR will work with you and the other members will encourage you.

I started at BNKR 6 months ago with a mission to get healthier and get moving! When I started I was so nervous and scared about what I could not do or keep up with. I was anxious about feeling out of place or like I would not belong at a CrossFit gym. The staff at BNKR have been so supportive of my journey and have eased all my worries while also pushing me to try new things and challenging me at each workout. The members are also incredibly motivating and everyone works hard at achieving their goals while also being motivating. Some days I still get nervous about going but I always leave feeling stronger and happy with my workout. If you are considering a change this is the place! If I can do it you can do it!

I did a free week of BNKR and was not sure what to expect. I was nervous to try a new place and not know anyone. However, Liz and the other trainers, like Efren were so helpful, kind, and patient. Liz even partnered with me on the partner workout. Not only were the trainers helpful, but the people working out were also welcoming and kind! I took the plunge to sign up because it’s the type of workout and environment I am looking for! If you are looking for a challenging yet fun workout where you will grow, then BNKR is the place!
