I hit the one by Anytime fitness religiously after pumps for the protein shakes and other goodies. Kyle is the man! All the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely look forward to hitting Maximus anytime I’m working in the area

Walked in for cryotherapy, they were out of nitrogen which is totally fine. I was advised to book an appointment so I did. When I showed up they were out of nitrogen again. I asked if I should rebook and I was told to just walk in next time. ? I understand that running out is expected, but I don’t understand why they would book appointments and then not honor those appointments or at least give you a heads up that your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Appointments really don’t matter apparently because you’re still not guaranteed to get the service you’ve scheduled.

Scheduled an appointment for cryotherapy. Appointment was confirmed via email and text. Showed up for appointment and the location was closed. Tried calling, no answer. Sent a message on Instagram, was never responded to. Why was the appointment accepted and confirmed if you knew you weren’t going to follow through? Why was there no communication? What a waste of my time. This was my first time visiting a Maximus location and I am far from impressed. I will not be going back or recommending them to anyone. Extremely poor business practices. Don’t visit unless you have time to throw away and don’t actually want the product you’re going to purchase.Also, someone else left a review with the same experience as I did below. Shortly after, several people gave 5-star reviews within an hour timeframe. To top off their shady business practices, they quite blatantly manipulate their reviews, too.

Maximus has always been so amazing! The moment I walk in they great me with a friendly smile and hello. They have been so helpful in helping me get great product and then you can never go wrong with any of their smoothies after a great workout! Check them out!!

2nd degree chemical burn ** Cryotherapy **MAXIMUS NUTRITION *** SAN ANGELO ****Knickerbocker** So I tried the cryotherapy at Maximus nutrition yesterday here in San Angelo, TX. Had never done cryotherapy before, but heard about all the great benefits, and this was said to be a brand new top of the line machine and a safe process. I don’t ever post any negative reviews about anyone’s business, especially small local ones. But after standing for 3 minutes in a cryo chamber that I thought would be safe and beneficial for me. I have to say I’m not very pleased with the outcome. I noticed a burning sensation immediately after coming out of the chamber and have since developed large burn blisters on my forearm. My skin is still burning, and extremely red and looks severely damaged. I can’t imagine how awful it would have been if I had been burned anywhere else on my body or my face. I reached out to the owner or manager who runs the Facebook page and gave them the opportunity to make it right. They Didn’t even offer to give me a refund for the service which was only 25.00 for your first time and 40.00 a pop each time after that. My ER bill surely exceeded what I paid for the service. If anyone else is considering cryotherapy please know that there is a high risk involved and you may or may not be burned to the point where you cannot work or have your skin further exposed to the elements. They should include on their waiver these possible side effects. Extreme Burning of the skin and possible blistering, and/or permanent scarring. I have pics posted on FB @RayRamos to show what my skin is doing right now. Please be safe when undergoing procedures you know nothing about. And research the side effects prior to signing a release of liability form.

Great spot to pick up a smoothie or some supplements!I really appreciated that the staff heard me out on my lifestyle, daily routine first and THEN offered their suggestions on what would be beneficial to me. Great service!

I have been doing the cryofreeze treatment now for a while. Everyone who has helped there has been very professional and taken great care to make sure that the experience is positive. I will continue to use this as a recovery solution to sore muscles. I have had a few shakes too and they have all been terrific. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I would say that on the Cryofreeze if it is your first time do a reduced time and build up to the 2:00 / 2:30 minutes that way your body gets used to it. Also, make sure that you control your breathing, slow steady, and deep breaths will most certainly help you to relax and to get full benefit of the treatment.
