The Union is simply world-class. There are VERY few options in San Antonio where you could find a hot yoga/pilates studio AND do Crossfit under the same membership for a relatively low cost. This setup alone is fantastic because you get strength AND flexibility under one membership. The instructors are friendly and very knowledgeable. They make attempts to get to know you along the way and once you become a regular, you can certainly find a friendly and encouraging community at the Union. One of the things I love about this community is that they recognize everyone has a starting point. Ive been to crossfit gyms where it was a super competitive environment. Ive been to yoga studios where people seemingly can nail a posture in less than 2 seconds. But this place is not judgemental and you get what you give into each session. The community of folks- from instructors to guests is simply fantastic. What I also love about The Union is that there are three locations where you can practice so you will always meet new people and instructors. So if you cannot find a class that is conducive to your schedule or commute, you do have options. The weekend options are plentiful for the weekend warriors. For those who are interested in finding more, I suggest giving them a call 30 minutes before a class starts/ends. Three years ago, before I became an active regular, I was first taken a back why no one answered the phones during business hours and why no one would help me out when I walked in during a session was in progress. Once I realized that the instructors are also your front desk folks, I totally understood why.All locations have shower facilities so for the early birds and those who take classes between their commute, this is a god send. For those who complain that there is carpet in the yoga studio or about an "odor", it is better than slipping on slick floor because people are meant to work out in such an environment. Overtime, these are only truly minor distractions to the fitness you will receive. Sign up for The Union's Perkville app and earn points for working out!Happy Sweats!

If you pay a year in advance, be aware that money is theirs to keep, not refundable even if you are unable to practice. Everything about these place is fake. I call them the pretenders

I was doing yoga for 3 years and had a car accident early 2017. I thought these people cared about me but no one ever ask about my health. It’s all a fake. I have requested many times my membership cancelation which I thought meant a refund of my money. Waited several months and got no refund. The manager Mark told me memebership is non refundable. I don’t remember ever signing a contract with these people. I have a spine injury non reversible. Im not getting better and I’m not going back due to medical reasons that means they are non refunding for any reason. I have to take legal action. I’m so dissapointed I guess it’s a business and they only care about money

There is great variety in health improvement offerings; Union is always upping their game yet staying true to its core ( pun intended 😂). Also like the flexibility of hours and locations. Your staff is truly caring -- awesome. …
