I signed up for a 6:15am class and showed up on time only to be told that because I was the only one who showed up I could get refunded (+ one free class) or pay $170 for a private lesson. The right thing to do would have been to 1) CALL ME before I leave my house or 2) hold a single person class - the class doesn’t require interacting with other people so there really is no reason you can’t do it with one person - and they have already paid the instructor to show up! Extremely disappointed in the experience. I do a lot of group fitness and have never had something like that happen.

Omgah class was so fun! Folx at the front Liz and Bernie checked me asked me if I needed any water, gloves or wraps. They were very helpful and friendly in my visit.I loved the shower with all the amenities! The shampoo, body soap, conditioner Omgah all from dry bar enhanced my experience. Leaving me smelling hella good after a great sweat session with Lielen de Guzman! She was really energetic and I loved it when she called on my name. Hahah, made me push even harder! Loved the reinforcement.Back to back combos and then switching to some strength training. Such a great cardio workout. And I got to meet Rich who taught the class before this and also took Lielen's class. He was pretty cool too and I look forward to taking his class next time! The energy and everyone the room was amazing.I look forward to coming back and highly recommend others to experience the vip treatment I received!Thank you Rumble!

I love these high intensity classes. The booking process is easy and straight forward, allowing you to choose if you want to be up front or hide in the back. Plus it gives you the ability to coordinate with other people and group yourselves together ahead of time. The facility is super clean with free lockers and showers. I highly recommend this gym and these workouts.

Fun class for a good workout - simple boxing and weights for a a full body workout. I teach yoga so this was a fun change of pace! Julia is a great instructor.

I was invited by my coworker to join her at an after work workout. I was knocked out. Well almost. The class was super intense and the instructor made you feel like you were in a ring fighting numerous opponents. I did have some kickboxing experience and just love punching, in general. Rumble was a perfect class for us as we both went through some challenges that day and punching a bag was the best thing that day!The class feels like a Barry's Bootcamp with punches. You barely have a minute to catch your breath and it is fast paced. I was drenched in my sweat afterwards. The studio itself is pretty new and clean. It is also huge, which is rare in SF. I will be back for more Rumble!

Loud music, flashing lights, and rythmic boxing make this 45 minute workout class an absolute blast. It is truly open to all skill levels, and amenities include towel service, locker rooms, and showers with Drybar products.Your first time you’ll need to buy wraps for $8 if you don’t happen to have them lying around, and glove rentals are an additional $3 per class.Overall, I highly recommend checking out Rumble, especially if you enjoy classes like Barry’s Bootcamp, Orangetheory, cycling, etc.

A workout where I don't have to run or spin?! SIGN ME UP.What is Rumble? 10 Rounds of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), strength training, metabolic conditioning (METCON) through 50% boxing and 50% floor/weight exercises.I'm not much of a runner so as much as I love Barry's, there are days where I rather punch things than sprint at a 12.5 ( I know, crazy right?) AND RUMBLE IS PERFECT.It's got just as much intensity if not more than your typical bootcamp class and something about the aqua bags, lights, and bumping beats gets you in the right zone to do your thing for that hour. You either start the class on the Floor or the Bag. For me, I prefer the Floor first so you end the 10 rounds on the bag. In terms of location, I usually prefer anywhere towards the middle where you can see the instructor but if you're in the back or corner, you'll still be able to see all the instructions and exercises since there's a screen that wraps around the entire room that displays the exercises. You can purchase hand wraps and rent gloves or bring your own set. The studio provides towels and all the bathroom amenities you'll ever need. (Ladies, the bathroom is perfect!). They also have plenty of lockers for storage. The only con about rumble is that it's pretty easy to injure yourself if you don't know what you're doing in the boxing portion. Don't go all Rocky status on that Aqua bag if you're unsure, because a wrist or hand injury will not be fun. The instructors do take the time in the beginning of each class to go over the 6 basic punches but form just takes time to get so just be cautious.

First, I would have followed Alvin to hell if I had to. Luckily, Alvin didn't make me do that. When I heard he would come back to SF to help open the first Rumble studio, I signed up without a second thought. The workout is amazing. It gives me a break from all the running I do without forcing me to compromise on my cardio. I'm not a great runner and truth is, my joints are getting a little old :( It's FUN, from beginning to end, and not once do I feel the internal urge to roll my eyes. Also, I'm really big on authenticity and good energy. Some people don't care about those things in a workout, but for me it's a deal breaker. If I don't think an instructor genuinely cares about the people he/she instructs or has a passion for what they do, I do not invest my time or money. Lucky for me, a lot of those good vibe people are now at Rumble and it.is.addicting.The one drawback is the equipment. You need gloves / wraps and so far I've rented mine from Rumble each class. I have a hard time putting the gloves on during transitions and resort to using my mouth, like a savage, on the rental. So gross. I'll need to buy my own really soon.
