I signed up for the roots student summer membership, and I could not be more pleased with my experience at this gym. All of the facilities are clean, the equipment is well maintained, and each staff member is quick to great you with a wave and a smile. The community of gym-goers here is a friendly bunch, and after my 3-month membership I knew I had to sign up to continue my fitness journey here. I would recommend Roots to anyone looking to start or continue achieving their fitness goals!

My special needs sister has been taking private lessons with Bella for months now and absolutely loves it! She’s a great instructor who is patient, funny, and is very understanding with my sister. We accidentally showed up late the other day and missed the private lesson, but Tighe willingly went into the pool with my sister because she can’t go in alone and would’ve missed out otherwise. He was awesome and my sister couldn’t stop smiling the entire time he worked with her. The staff here is what makes it so great. We highly recommend Roots to anyone looking for swim lessons!

Fun and casual swimming class. Friendly staff and instructor. Only two changing tables in the changing area, have to take turns. Enough rooms for parents to get out of wet clothes without having to wait. Pool is generally a comfortable warm temperature. 30 minute classes.

We love Roots and all the amazing staff!! Ive been taking my son to Roots for over two years and just started my daughter! We love it! We always feel safe and have the best time, all while learning so much. It’s so important to me for my kids to learn how to be safe around water and I am thankful we are able to come to Roots.

I recently joined Roots. I thoroughly enjoy all the classes I have tried. Everyone I met (staff, trainers and the fine men and women) are warm and welcoming. There is a variety of fitness classes that are challenging and gratifying. They encourage you to try different classes and they welcome you back. I enjoy the H20GO! water aerobics with Michelle, Angie and or Tina. I enjoy the body pump and HIIt Strong with Lisa. I look forward to the Tread and Shred fitness class and Bootcamp with Jeremy cause he pushes and encourages. I enjoy the High Fitness with Angie. The body combat with Nick and Lisa was great. All in all, I am thrilled I joined Roots!

They have such a great variety of group classes at roots that are challenging but fun! Out of the many fitness centers I’ve attended, I haven’t enjoyed the classes as much as I enjoy them here. They also are creative in encouraging people to try new classes, like the “25 days of fitmas challenge”! If it wasn’t for this, I wouldn’t have branched out and tried new classes! Love it here (:

I’m so happy that I purchased a roots ultimate membership, where I can attend all of the classes that roots has to offer. The instructors make classes fun, and they are always so willing to help! I have tried out many new classes this month, and never have I felt intimidated or confused- Jeremy & Lisa took the time to show me the different exercises and make sure my form was correct. Along with the instructors, all of the members are so friendly and they are also willing to give helpful tips!

Roots is the best gym I have ever belonged to. They offer a wide variety of fun, challenging classes. The instructors are friendly and engaging. Beyond the classes, my family has enjoyed the pool, indoor track, and summer camps.

I would not recommend. I heard great things, but…it’s gross! Swim classes are always super crowded, you’re bumping into adults and kids all the time. It’s hard to hear what the instructor is saying. Pool is dirty and gross. There are clumps of hair everywhere in the pool and sand or dirt as well. It’s absolutely disgusting. Changing area floor is always wet, slippery and muddy. There’s never enough room in the cubbies to store stuff while you’re in the swim lesson. There’s not enough changing rooms for the amount of people in the class. It’s frustrating when you’re soaking wet waiting there in a bathing suit with your child for a changing room. I wish I had known all this before committing to a 20 week course.

Absolutely the finest fitness center in Western Mass. Over the years, I've been to a variety of gyms from private fitness centers to YMCAs and Roots is head and shoulders above them all. Qualified and experienced instructors and the best equipped facility I have ever experienced. I attend five group classes and two solo workouts per week and I've never felt better. Roots has become a second home not only for myself, but for many other members I've met. You won't be disappointed with a membership at Roots!
