We've been members for a long time, but will be looking for another gym. The pools are really the only thing that has kept us here. During the renovations, COC shortened the track, which now runs through the weight area, with lots of unmasked people standing on the track and breathing heavily. The aerobic equipment is nice but very crowded together, and there's nowhere left to stretch or do floor work except in the over-crowded weight area. I came once last summer during COVID and was horrified to see a bunch of people working out on equipment in the aerobic area, not a mask in sight. I loved the old gym; the new version, not so much.Edited to respond to the comment below: as of 7/21, COC is indeed requiring masks for unvaccinated individuals, but requires no proof of vaccination, preferring the "honor system". Only ~60% of the general population is vaccinated, so it's odd that evidently everyone at COC is. By not requiring proof of vaccination, I feel like COC has abdicated any responsibility for keeping the workout areas safe.

I have tried on multiple occasions to attend this gym due to its convenience however the mediocre facility can not make up for the environment. As a young woman I am subject to relentless stares, approached by strangers, and all around made to feel extremely uncomfortable. The final straw was when a staff member approached me to say I needed to cover up my mid drift despite my profuse sweating. I will not be returning. :(

This place is awesome. Fun indoor swimming pool, four full length basketball courts, rock wall, excellent cardio and free weight selection. Just a great place all around really. …

I attended a meeting of a once-a-month exercise group that was held at the center of Clayton. I found the facility to be very very busy the parking lot was very full but apparently they have so many outdoor activities for teens and soccer fields at cetera as well as indoor activities for their pool workout rooms and other things that it's Saturday mornings are just extremely busy. I found the building to be clean the staff to be very helpful and the room we used was quite nice.

This a great community center with a large variety of exercise equipment, an indoor track, multiple basketball courts, a climbing wall, two pools and a hot tub. There are lots of fitness classes offered as well as seasonal youth sports.

I attended a special exercise class. I found the facility to have a lot of parking however it was very crowded because apparently the facility is very heavily used on Saturday mornings. However I found the staff very pleasant and helpful they apparently have swimming pools dance classes soccer games outside all kinds of glasses inside going on at the same time and lots of rooms used by Community organizations.

The gym would be good if they would remember to clean the dirt from the basketball courts I played on it and almost slid and injured myself because the floor was so dirty. I've asked them about this several times without any change.I will change my review if this is corrected.

One of the more complete public rec centers: Has 4 basketball courts, 25 meter pool, weight room with 4 squat racks, very large cardio area. …

I swim here when my other pool/gym is closed for renovations. This place has outstanding facilities, a variety of ways to workout, a very nice pool that has many lanes, and friendly staff. If I were to live in Clayton this would be one of the places I would consider being a member at.
