Your stuff will get stolen. Either your car will be broken into, stuff will get stolen out of your locker, or stuff will get stolen from common areas. Probably multiple times if you're a regular.Hours on the weekends suck for people who work or need morning/evening workouts and won't be expanded. Sales people are pushy. Front desk folks and janitorial staff are always friendly and helpful if they can be. The facility is usually clean.

Diverse population; Good equipment; I like the walking track overlooking the pool. Locker rooms are adequate. Pool and vortex is great. There aren’t very many staff available to show you how to work the machines. That would be my only complaint. We use this Y as our main facility and Shoreview when we have our nephews, so we can use the outdoor pool.

If I could give it less than the one star I am never coming back here staff can't even be bothered to check and see if actual people signed in even though I literally signed in and the guy's face I was still told embarrassingly that I didn't in front of a whole bunch of people if you don't know who's in the building that is not my problem I don't work at the y never have and never will they need to change or revamp their sign in policy because my situation shouldn't happen to someone else but it most likely will therefore I will never be coming back to the why I've been coming to since I was 17 and I am now 40

Nice staff. Easy parking. Only one basketball court.

Nice location and facilities. But I disliked how much I was rushed into getting a full price membership, and the requirements to come in person to sort out being on SNAP/EBT to get the sliding scale costs was way too much hassle when I specified i was physically disabled. The promo I signed up with charged me $50 usd, and barely into March before I could cancel after being too sick and disabled to travel out there, I then have a new $70 balance to deal with as a low income resident of st. Paul. Pretty negative experience, so I'll be looking got cheaper alternatives for exercise until I can afford to come back here.

TL;DR: I was billed/bilked for 3 months of membership ($112) after cancelling over the phone. Attempting to get a refund was simply ignored by Membership Manager named Brandon. …

I had the blessing to get a YMCA membership and I this is my "home" YMCA (even though my home area is Duluth and I only am in Saint Paul during the week days)! I have to give a shout-out to YMCA workers Brandon and Eli.. when I was renewing my membership, Brandon was handling five different customer needs and my need and was training Eli and Eli had the confidence to take on working with me which I was a hard case as far as membership renewal goes. I was very impressed and still am and I just wanted to make sure that they got the recognition for their hard work!! this YMCA is my favorite out of all the YMCA as I visited so far. thank you Brandon and thank you Eli and thank you to the Midway YMCA for all of your help and beautiful facility!!
