Had a membership here and a trainer. Beware though. Their personal training plans are like "contracts"..very important that you keep track of your sessions ;) as well they changed my email just a few letters so I would not be notified that my session was used when it clearly wasnt. Unfortunately, figured this out in the end. Also had a baby recently did not go for 120 days. Tried to cancel but could not unless I walked in... Hard to find the time with a newborn. Finally found the time and was told I'd be charged another 30 days because their policy states a 30 day notice. Lost a customer for life as their was no compassion and understanding. I did not even want a refund for the last 120 days. Customers beware when signing it is not black and white. There will be a time when I will need a gym membership but I will surely look elsewhere. Crunch fitness is not the only option. Although I was not made aware of these policies I do feel good about warning others. Have a bless day!

I started coming here back in May and the staff has always been super friendly, helpful, and attentive to any needs. By far my favorite gym I’ve been a part of!

It pains me to write a negative review. I rarely go out of my way and waste time to write anything negative about any business but Crunch Fitness really doesn't care about the individual. I signed up for PT classes and paid in full with the expectations that they would/could be flexible with my schedule due to my demanding work schedule. Unfortunately, I could not get anything scheduled right off the bat. I asked my trainer if I could get a refund since we were not able to coordinate times. He referred me to his manager Dominick and he said , very un-empathically, there was nothing he can do except write and email to someone (he wouldn't tell me who) and get back to 3-5 business days. I never heard back. I called a week later and tried to talk to manager again and I got Rob. Rob was very nice and empathetic to my situation and said he would try to find a resolution and would get back to me. Rob convinced enough to where I would switch my trainer to him personally and he would accommodate me to his schedule. He said he would call me the following Tuesday and we would have an answer on the email and/or get started with PT. I'm disappointment to say he never got back to me. I called on two different occasions to speak with him and they said that he would call me back... still no communications. I went in today to go work out during my lunch and hopefully talk to someone and my status. Dominick approached me, and with the same un-empathetic tone gave me round about excuses of why they could not refund me. I asked him about the email and he stated again its going to take 3-5 days for whoever he sent the email to to get back to me. I explained to him it had been 2 weeks already....... At this point I was already frustrated and just started to walk into the gym then realized I didn't want to be there anymore and walked out. I couldn't even bring myself to work out. I don't if anyone has ever had a problem with Crunch Tamarac like this before but if anyone knows someone above Dominick I can speak to get this resolved please send that information. I spent almost 1k on PT classes that I can't even use nor want to use at this point. Their response felt like o'well too bad.

A big gym with a multiculturally diverse clientele. Lots of machines, a swimming pool, and plenty of punching bags for the kickboxers. As far as attitude: not any more or less, just typical. Better music than the heavy rock at Crunch Oakland Park. They supply sanitizer but not towel; Oakland Park has towel dispenses all over the place and full. There's no litter either..

Crunch Tamarac is an awesome gym , the staff is very helpful and fun. From Phillip at the front desk who is always smiling and helpful, to my trainer MARI who is always upbeat and inviting and motivating. Overall best gym in town to come to and the facilities are clean.

Top fan crunch member here; Sorry to say but i’ve been a member for over 2 years with crunch and i’ve been going to this location (Tamarac) for over a year and a half now. The manager whom I believe goes by the name “Jeff Young” is very gender selective on who can and cannot follow rules in this gym, and thinks it will go unnoticed… dare speak your mind or be warned more then multiple times (as a man) and he’ll threaten to kick you out of their gym as gym member! Not the way to run a facility, nor a business.I hope you do better, and not be selective of who can follow rules. Other locations such as Coral Springs, & Pembroke Pines are worth going to and you’d be very well taken care of.I hope this message goes out to the right audience.

I choose this gym over my home gym in Coral Springs. It’s been cool until I did a kick off with one the trainers Sara and since I told her I wasn’t interested in signing up for training I just wanted to know my weight and stuff. The whole time she’s going over my numbers she’s laughing and being condescending. Messed up my whole vibe being there.

My daughter had a membership at Crunch in Tamarac, Florida. They relocated to California. Once she got settled she called to cancel the membership because she forgot to do it prior to leaving. She spoke with multiple staff there including Jeff who proudly lets you know he is the General Manager. They refused to cancel it and told her she needed to come in to do it. They continued to charge her account monthly. She tried unendingly and they refused. I had to take a trip myself there from MD to do it since I lived closer and she would have had to fly four of them back for that!! She changed credit cards to stop the monthly transactions since they refused to keep charging her. . I met Jeff, the GM, and explained to him what was happening. At first he lied to me and said he wasn’t aware of the situation. Then he suddenly recalled it and gave me a balance of $90 for him to stop it. I asked him why since she has been trying to stopIt for months and even then was being charged. He didn’t care he only wanted me to PAY as a negotiating hitch for it to go away. I told him that was extortion and that I would be letting everyone know. He didn’t care so I’m following through. That place is only a money grab. Easy to join and difficult to leave!! They need to be investigated AND my money returned asap!! He knew it was wrong and should have canceled her membership immediately or take another month but NOT months after months which they did!! Unbelievable!!

BEWARE OF THEIR “PROMOTIONS” I downgraded my membership at crunch to the $9.99 a month plan however later found however found that they were charging me $16 monthly for the same plan because it was a “promotional offer” with no added benefits. I came into the gym to inquire as to why this was the case and was just even blanket statements like “you should read the guidelines.” After speaking with the unhelpful manager on duty, I just decided to cancel my membership because I found it ridiculous they would continue to knowingly me for the “base” plan and expect me to just be ok with it. After explaining to the manager I will be cancelling, he made a snarky remark of “for $6 you’re going to cancel” as if he was the one paying the membership. Yes Phillip I am going to cancel and I had the intention of signing up for $9.99 plan but now because of the remark and service I won’t be at the Tamarac location. In addition to all of this they proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for the month of September, when I went in to cancel on August 31st because they need thirty days in advance… please explain how that makes sense. It doesn’t but it sit there and argue was not worth my time. Along with all of this the trainers are constantly pestering you to try a personal training session. Going so far as to approach you THREE times while your working out. Truly has been the most idiotic experience of my workout journey.
