I have been training under 10th Planet Dark Arts for more than a year and its been great! If you are looking to build confidence, get in shape, or learn how to defend yourself in grappling situations, then this place will get your moneys worth. I have lost 10-15 lbs in weight and I feel great going about my day.

From the first day I stepped through the door, Sensei Marvin, Coach K, and every member of the Dark Arts Academy welcomed me with opened arms. Dark Arts Academy is a safe and family oriented environment, where there are no egos. It doesn’t matter if you are old, out of shape, experienced , or experienced, whatever your aspirations are in jiujitsu, Sensei Marvin and the coaches will help you get there.

I have been training under Coach Marvin for 2 years now and my jiu jitsu game has improved tremendously. He is focused on getting his students good. The gym itself is well maintained, and has a family oriented environment. I drive down from LA to learn from Coach Marvin, as the quality of instruction is well worth it.

Sensei Marvin runs a tight ship, and we work hard. He's dedicated to his students, which makes for a very family like environment at Dark Arts Academy. All levels welcome, class all week, emphasis on smooth and safe movement. Leg lock classes, closed guard, wrestling, etc. Let's level up!

An amazing place to develop and learn high-level jiujitsu from amazing teachers!Marvin is always developing his technique and is one of the most passionate teachers I know. His dedication and investment towards his students is a reflection of his love for the art and evolution of his students and the sport. Kirsten's patience, technique, discipline, and dedication to elevating and empowering women with a community and environment to learn and grow while keeping it welcoming towards everyone is remarkable. A great place to train whether you aim to be a decorated competitor, or are curious to learn for fun and personal development.
