If I could give this place a -0 I would. The owner Calvin is rude and only cares about billing. He dislikes if you talk to the staff even if they are NOT in middle of teaching a class. I had to withdraw my child over schedule conflict and tried my best to work with them but unfortunately the owner made it a point to push my child out of class. His staff are sweet but this Calvin guy not a person you want to deal with. His comments“ I’m waisting my time talking to you on the phone not only today but from our last call”As a paying customer all I was trying to do is arrange my makeup classes my children missed. When I enrolled them I was told make up classes are an option but now that I’m trying to coordinate over a specific conflict this man feels I’m a waist of his time. It’s sad to say but one of my friends at Torrance city hall was the one who recommended this place, and is why I took the opportunity.look elsewhere.

My daughter has benefited greatly from being a part of 1st Class Martial Arts. The instructors are awesome and are always willing to answer any questions that might arise. She has been a part of the program for years and has been loving it ever since. This is the place to be if you’re looking for greatness.

My kids love coming to class!! They are learning new skills and confidence! The teachers are great! We love how they interact with the kids and get them involved in the class! Sure wish their location was bigger!! As we see new students each session

The instructors are truly amazing with all of the children. Their patience and passion shows during each class. I recommend 1st Class Martial Arts to all parents wanting their children to learn a new skill while also acquiring discipline and respect. 5/5 !!

It is a no-brainer that this place is getting a 5/5 stars; if I could give more then I would have. It is not a surprise that almost all of the reviews for 1st Class Martial Arts are 5 stars - the reviews are evident of the service that they give. We just signed up our 3.5 year old son and he is loving the class! The instructors make it a priority to connect with every child and they care for their development. The place is well-maintained and the professionalism of every staff member is impeccable. We will definitely be long-term clients. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone! :)

H. S. Started about a year ago and he loves it. The instructors are amazing. He is now in the black belt training class at 6 years old. They not only teach tae Kwon do, they also teach discipline and how to be a good person. I would recommend this class to everyone of all ages.

We have been coming here since my son was 3.5 . The staff are so friendly they become like family . They are very flexible and get to know you and your child . They have so many equipment and very clean and positive atmosphere . My son enjoys coming .

1st Class Martial Arts is THE place for your child if you want an atmosphere that not only teaches self defense techniques, but also incorporates confidence, respect, discipline, courage and helps your child develop their ability to focus. The instructors understand the individual needs of our children and do an awesome job of teaching to their skills while also encouraging growth and maturity. Their teaching style is gentle, yet assertive and, oh so patient! There is a feeling of camaraderie amongst the students that is fostered by the instructors. All qualities that any parent would be grateful for their child’s instructors to have!The instructors, Mr. Chris, Mrs. Janaya, Ms. Mal and the owner, Mr. Calvin have been wonderful role models for our children! My son absolutely loves coming to class and has grown so much because of them!We highly recommend 1st Class Martial Arts! Come in and experience it for yourself! They truly make a difference!
