Love this place. Not over crowded. Good security. My trainer Kevin is very knowledgeable and keeps me on track. Seriously, you gotta check this place out.

My Personal Trainer Kevin is absolutely fantastic! I am a normal person who does not live for the gym, but want to be heathier. Kevin is patient, funny and motivates me to push my limits. Awesome!

The gym is a good, spartan gym, as gyms go. Lots of exercise equipment in a small space. No sauna, pool or spa.Just be sure you want keep your membership in Anytime Fitness for a full year.Requirements are minimized when you sign up, as far as being able to quit goes--'Cancellation is not a problem. You can quit if you move or if you have a medical reason.' But try to exercise those options and the fine print comes into effect.... rental agreements, doctor's note on letterhead (and those are the only two reasons to quit). It's not as simple as talking to your gym manager or owner and checking out. You have to go through tele-marketers and not your local gym. You are in for a full year, with surprise end of year charges (all in the fine print, which nobody reads). And the annual renewal is automatic.....also in the fine print.Parking lot is crowded, as you are competing with the In/Out burger drive thru patrons who like to park in the lot and eat. And if you go after 8 p.m., you won't get any workout attention or assistance. Staff checks out at 8.The equipment is in great shape. They could use an additional Concept II rowing machine. There's only one, and that exercise usually takes some time if rowing 1,000 meters or more. All in all a good gym. But be ready to stick it out for a year.

I like coming to this gym very convenient. I am currently training with Kevin and he is awesome. Very good personality and always open to hear your needs to modify training if needed. I highly suggest Kevin to be your next trainer!

This Anytime location is top notch! Clean. New equipment. Amazing and knowledgeable staff. Kevin is one of the best trainers I have ever had. He does group training and personal training. I would highly recommend coming to this location and booking with him.

I’ve been coming to this gym for over a year now and it’s by far the best Anytime Fitness location. It has a very supportive staff and they treat you like family. I’ve been struggling with obesity for a long time until recently I finally got serious with dieting so having a trainer who’s also a nutritionist has been instrumental for me. So far I’ve lost almost 40lbs from 195 and I’m about to start a bulking phase.I joined this gym with weight loss and lowering my pre-diabetes risk in mind but when I got to a comfortable point I decided to change gears. Whether you’re trying to slim down, bulk up, or do both like me nutrition is so important. The problem was that when I started I had no clue about it. Having Kevin as a nutritionist and trainer taught me a lot about the science of my food and to recognize BS like some extreme diets and supplements while also focusing on strength training.Tracking and reporting what I eat and exercise to my trainer does involve some work but, this way, I’m actively engaged and motivated even outside the gym or working out. I highly recommend this method for beginners when it comes to hiring a trainer because if you decide to hire someone and their only interaction with you is spotting you while you work out, you are just wasting time and money. It’s like paying thousands in tuition for a teacher whose only interaction with students is calling attendance and reading from a PowerPoint slide word-for-word verbatim. Even if you don’t hire Kevin, find a trainer similar who is 1) willing to invest in you and 2) put up with your hundreds of questions and then give your effort even outside the gym. Otherwise, it will be like spending 4 years in school for a meaningless piece of paper rather than actual knowledge.I’ve worked out at both of the Long Beach locations, the Cypress one before it closed, the Orange location, and the Culver City location. Except for Orange and Culver City, they are either smaller or lacking in variety of machines/equipment compared to El Segundo. The Culver City location, however, has extremely limited parking and the Orange location is best as a gym near home. I don’t know what the staff is like at any of these locations as El Segundo AF is the only one I go to during the daytime. I would say El Segundo AF is best for commuters or frequent travelers working out before or after work as lunchtime parking can be cutthroat.Even if you don’t choose this gym or any gym, if you want to get serious about losing weight and/or building muscle give the effort of tracking what you eat.

The staff were extremely helpful. As a traveller from Australia, this was the first chance I got to use the worldwide membership that is apart of all memberships when signed up. The staff member helped me sign in for the first time as I was unsure if the sign in process would be the same or not. Great gym. Got everything you could want in a small continent setting. Everyone is friendly, members and staff. Cheers guys

This gym and Kayla, my trainer, are the best! We are never waiting for equipment, and the gym is neat and clean. We have now started with group classes with Kayla; she is so informative and inspiring; I can really feel and see the difference in a matter of a few months! Thank you Kayla and Anytime!
