Asked for a 3 month membership on 10/04/2022 and told them I was leaving in mid-December. I was charged for another 3 months (Jan-March) on 12/04/2022. Apparently hidden in their terms and conditions (below the standard gym liability waiver) it says the membership has auto-renew, and you can only cancel by email (not verbally or by text) 15 days before the next renewal date. And there are no refunds for early cancellation. Of course when I verbally told them I was leaving in December, they didn’t tell me I had to email them in order to actually cancel auto-renewal of my membership. They didn’t even tell me the membership had auto-renew, and the title of their terms & conditions say “3 month commitment”. This business is scammy and deceptive. Would not recommend.

If you want to learn how to train and train correctly with a staff that will work with you then Shift is your place. Ryan, Brandon, and all the trainers will help you get the most of your work out whether you are looking to add muscle or get a quick high intensity workout they can help and don't forget the core workouts they design for all the members to do. They always look to improve and never rest on their laurels.

Always a great workout thorough and the trainers really push you hard. But if you show up ready to work you will see results fast. The owner Ryan is really nice and makes sure that you're doing everything correctly and he gives you great personalized workouts.

Ryan’s an amazing trainer and person. Shift feels like a second home to me. I had been training for a while before I came in, but I’ve never felt better and more challenged in my life. Every day I am at Shift I get way better. Ryan and his team are miracle workers. I would never train anywhere else. I strongly recommend joining the Shift AP community!!!

As a former athlete and someone who used to be in the fitness industry, I can speak to my experiences that SHIFT South Bay is a phenomenal gym owned by great people. I have been training at the gym for a few months now in their new space in the Riviera, and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. They are on the cutting edge of holistic, functional training, and it's a great space with a great community of clients and trainers. Ryan and Brandon, the co-owners, are good people with a passion for fitness, and they do a fantastic job connecting, mentoring, and working with athletes of all ages. If you're looking for a gym with a welcoming, personal touch that is also serious about results and is constantly improving in their new space, SHIFT is an excellent choice.

Best Trainers I've ever had the opportunity to work with. Best Gym I've ever been too nothing like your local gym. Overall just an amazing, positive environment to not only achieve your goals physically but as well challenging yourself mentally to fullest potential!!!

Ryan and Chris are great! They have worked with both of my kids and have provided a solid foundation for them to improve at their sports. Teaching them ways to improve strength and flexibility safely and effectively. They new gym is gorgeous! I highly recommend Shift AP!

I found Shift originally for my son to improve strength and speed for football. After he joined I decided to give Shift a try! No regrets! My son has gotten stronger/faster and his confidence for football has improved. I’m in a small group training where Ryan trains us with intense workouts 5 days a week. I never leave Shift disappointed! Shift is definitely the best gym in the area!

If you are an athlete or an individual serious about reaching your goals and looking for someone to get you there, Ryan is simply the best you’ll find. Having worked with Ryan personally for multiple years during my athletic career, I can personally attest to the effectiveness of his training methods. I saw significant gains in strength, speed, and explosiveness within just a few months of starting. I became more confident in my abilities and new found strengths, which only made me want to work harder. Above all else, Ryan cultivated a passion hard work out of me that I didn’t even know I had.
