I gave four stars because the facility is clean and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. My son's swimming instructors are very kind and good with kids. My son learnt a lot from them and he had a lot of fun at the swimming lessons. My only complaint is I had a bad encounter with a female pool manager. After my son's swimming lesson he really wanted to play on the slides. I was unable to be in the water with him and that's when the female pool manager approached me. No greatings whatsoever and she was demanding us to leave. I explained my situation and told her my son only wants slides down a couple of times and we will be leaving. She didn't want to listen to my explanation and acted very impatient like she was done with me. Rule is rule I'm not arguing about that. But I wasn't very thrilled about they way she was talking to us. I originally gave one star to this rec center but I felt it's unfair to all the other hardworking staff members. All in all still a good rec center to go to but a better customer service would be appreciated.

We have been going to this rec center for over a year. We love the pool for many reasons, it’s clean, everyone is friendly and normally we feel very safe. Today was a different story. My husband and I had our three grandchildren with us ages 5,5 and 3. Some teens in the pool were being very rough. I am aware older teens play rough. I do not think they are bad kids or anything like that. My issue is the life guards were not addressing the horse play, the peers pretending to drown each other, tackling each other and so on. I addressed the life guards several times over the issues. I went into the pool managers office and addressed the issues. She came out and stayed for awhile and addressed a few things. After she went back into her office, the teens started up again. We decided to leave and one of the teens would not allow me to go up the ladder with two of my grandchildren to get out of the pool so I told him he better move now. I told the lifeguard young lady that was watching I should not have had to address him she should have and I made it clear we were leaving due to the teens behavior and no one addressing it. I went back into the pool managers office and told her my concerns. She would barely speak just giving me a sideways smile. I point blank asked her why the teens were not made to leave. She refused to answer me. I stopped by the front desk and let them know why we were leaving. They tried to get someone else for me to talk to. No one was available. As I am standing at the desk several other families were leaving the pool and told us they were leaving for the same reason. I hold 6 memberships yearly to the rec center.

Nice facility but they do not enforce the no dropping weights policy. They cater to body builders at this location. The weightroom is also on the second floor so the entire floor shakes when it happens. Do not recommend for anyone who has sensitivity to dropping weights, back issues, or mobilized/unsteady flooring. Spoke with staff and supervisor they said this is not a rule even though it is clearly posted on the wall in the weightroom. Will be trying another location.

I'm from up north and places like these are a fortune to afford, we're very fortunate to have rec center's as residents and non-residents so affordable, clean and safe.

Good news. You don't have to know how to swim to use the slide! But if you know how to swim, but you're height challenged you can't use the slide (look for blue height indicator on the blue slide, not kidding).

I’ve only been here once so maybe it’s too early to review, but so far I like the center. I just wish you could pay for a locker that is “yours” and you can keep stuff in it overnight. As someone who can’t drive due to a disability and lives over two miles away, there’s no way for me to bring stuff to the gym without Ubering BOTH ways which means spending about $24 on a five minute Uber ride there and back. That adds up quickly, especially when you want to lift at least twice a week.Ideally I’d run there, lift, shower, and Uber home. Or I could run there, go for a swim, and Uber home. I’m a runner and a lifter so being able to do both “at once” is something I genuinely miss about living in a college “town” (it was technically a city but I lived on campus is the point). As much as I believe lockers should be free and appreciate it, it’s not fully accessible it, and it’s incredibly frustrating because this IS the closest gym and the only one I can even get to without taking an Uber.

We enjoyed our stay. The pool our kids loved it they had plenty to keep them entertained and the staff was helpful and kind. We later found out the they had a rubber duck collection for the kids to borrow and play with as long as they return it after words of course. The shower rooms had hot water and plenty of privacy and the facilities were well maintained. We will come back for sure.

This was my first time at the rec center, going for the pool. It is so nice!! Definitely more geared towards kids- water slide, water okay ground area both in the pool and outside. Our kids had a blast! There's 3 swim lanes for laps. At least 2 life guards were on duty while we were there for open swim. A day off for kids is $8 and for adults it's $10. Not bad!
