You can eat fried chicken on the treadmills here!

Yes there are some improvements that could be made but you will never find a gym quite like this one. To begin, the price (for a non-chain gym) is unbeatable. You don’t need all the bells and whistles to have a fantastic workout here. The history the minute you step foot in the building is inspiring, photos of bodybuilders surround you as you workout. The people who go here have made the place become a second home to me, the people who work the front desk truly know who you are and make conversation with you- NOT because it’s their job. The equipment is old, raw, and real which to some could use improvement but to others makes this place so freakin unique. No gym will ever beat this one

So much fitness/bodybuilding history here, well worth a visit for that reason alone. Plenty of room and equipment to workout. The staff and patrons were friendly.

The expertise and commitment of the coaching staff and the strong positive community really distinguishes it from the other gyms in town. It is a place to focus on individualized goals over the long term with a customizable level of support.

Evening manager Stan is extremely rude. Is very condescending when rushing people out. Even told me that I was getting on his nerves for constantly being the last person out even though it was never after 10 PM (closing time). Turns lights out every night 10-15 minutes before gym closes forcing you to workout in the dark and wants all customers to be out 5-10 minutes before they actually close. Shower stall has been smelling like urine for about the last 1-2 weeks. I've seen the same shampoo and protein shake containers in various stalls for days at a time. I assume they don't clean them everyday, otherwise the same containers would not be there for days.Equipment is not well maintained at all. Over 90% of equipment is fully functional however when something is broken it is down for an extremely long time. For example the cable fly machine by the water fountain was literally broken for over 1 year and 5 months. Could not believe it, but this is one example among many.On a positive note the day time staff is much more friendly. They do have very specialized machines. Machines that isolate muscles that i have not seen at Planet or LA. All in all, if you pay for multiple months at once then their prices are comparable to LA, otherwise month to month is $40. The environment of the customers here are friendly and welcoming. I would come here with the mindset of getting in and out.
