Black Hawk County YMCA, located at 669 S Hackett Rd, Waterloo, IA 50701, offers various fitness services and community programs. The gym boasts modern and clean workout rooms, convenient facilities, and a variety of classes like YMCA360 Pilates and yoga available from home. I have members for many years to different places of state and world. I would rate this facility excellent, though the building needs to be remodeled as it is an old setup. But the customer service is incredible, and so this location is awesome because of their staff and service. We moved here from the newer facility to this old infrastructure because of their customer services. It is a clean and well maintained and functional facility for the community. We enjoy being a part of it.

We've been members for 2 years and really enjoy the facilities. The work out room is very clean, modern, and convenient to the check-in desk and restrooms. They also have plenty of coat hooks and places to stow a gym bag if you prefer not using a locker. We also use the YMCA360 pilates, yoga, and few other classes from home which is a huge bonus.

The CEO was very rude and inconsiderate and thought he was better than anybody else that came into his facility. I tried to ask him how much it would cost for us to take a shower only. that I didn't need a full membership. And the lady at the counter. Said you have to pay for the whole membership if we wanted to shower only.

When we arrived at 3:25 on a Saturday the staff did not greet us but were informing members in front of us they were closing in 20 minutes. Why would you close at 4 on a saturday? Anyway, 20 minutes is better then nothing. As we were finishing up the worlds fastest workout on subpar equipment, at 3:03, the staff approached us, “Um, we closed like 3 minutes ago..” I’ve never felt more discouraged to work out by a gym staff. Poor hours, ok equipment, bad customer service.

Good average YMCA. Very nice the staff at this YMCA that appears to be a past school, there for very chappy. Niice Aquatic Center the couple racquetball courts. Towel service $1.00 and they have a steam room, but only for thier primier members.

The taekwondo program is top tier, they accept anyone regardless of physical abilities or anything else. The instructors have huge hearts and genuinely love what they do!

Love, Love, Love YMCA CDC! My babies are loved by all of the staff. The entire building works together like a family. Any and all issues are addressed immediately. Thanks Gina for my peace of mind in this hectic world! My babies are safe and loved and that is everything to me!

Took my son here for swim lessons. They had 5 different instructors for 8 lessons, the pool was inappropriately cold for infants, the locker room needed cleaning, and they never seemed to have plans.

Friendly staff. In need of some upgrades. Children pool was dirty (including grime) and the main pool was not setup for children (no real steps for them to stand on or use). From what I could tell the family changing room was a converted utility closet and was not conducive for children to dress/undress in my opinion.Fine for adult lap swim
