LA Fitness

Day after Thanksgiving was excellent hardly anyone there until later. This left plenty of machines, and equipment to be able to get a good work out in. There was a member in the men's sauna who asked us other members if we minded if he sprayed the heating system with water and eucalyptus . I said yes that is not what it is for that is why the system keeps breaking down because of members like you spraying it, and then it breaks down . I said that is not fair to us as members who do pay dues as well. I said they have signage up asking not to spray the system with liquids or it will short out.He said I never seen the sign . I said it's always been up. People either choose not to read it , can't read , or just do not care about any other member but themselves. He said you need the humidity or vapors . I said no you just need to shorten your time in here.

The facility is fine. It has all that is needed for a good workout and/or fun.Though the employees aren't very good. None of the equipment is ever where it should be. Ever. Trash (wipes, bottles, etc) left all over the place. Also don't have basketballs to rent out for their court.

The club has made changes from 5 years ago but some stuff is still damaged like lockers and some machines. However, it's now its $506 for 1.5 years and it used to be $296 for 3 three years. I only come here because it's super close. It's still packed like before.Update: 9/1 dirty machines, broken lockers, attitudes from employees and customers, dirty restooms. It's more of the same problems but at expensive price.

Staff are cool. Something is ALWAYS broken. Men's sauna is a flip of a coin if it works or not. Alot of youngster with attitudes. Smaller LA fitness. One of my least favorite gyms. The staff are nice tho. That's about it

Needed to leave this review because I love coming here! The trainers are very helpful, Jeremy Barnette is an amazing personal trainer counselor always helpful, attentive and with a great attitude much better than any other LA Fitness I’ve been too.

Being a member since 2011 and going to different la fitness around Los Angeles I would expect them to have a motorcycle parking by now like the rest but instead they have a no motorcycle parking sign in the front next to the bicycles nice very welcoming

I was honestly disappointed in this location.I used to come to this LA Fitness back when I was in high school as a regular and at that time (2017) this location was one of my favorites. I lived in Downey, but would commute to this location due to the great equipment this gym provided, plus this location would not be as occupied as the Downey location. I stoped coming to this location due to College and moving out of the area. Now I come back to my hometown in Downey as a regular Downey LA fitness member when I hear from one of the LA fitness employees that the “Pico Rivera location has been modified and upgraded”since the last time I visited back in 2017. I decided to revisit today (Monday, January 23 2023) and I must say I was not pleased.I decided to visit this location at around 7:00pm. First off, it was packed. Second their weights were very limited and all being used. Third the cable machines at the back were all broke (Out of order) and the one cable machine that was available was being taken and hogged up by a group of high school youngsters just messing around with the cable machine. I’m a huge fan of the sauna but was not pleased at how small the sauna was at this location. I will definitely not be returning to this location again unless the Downey locations are closed for what ever reason.I do have some positives to mention.I loved how there were plenty of treadmill’s available for the members upstairs and a new football field looking area in the middle of the gym. This is definitely great for the people that love to lunge across the whole room to show off they’ve been working on their glutes and not missing a single leg-day. Last but not least, I loved how this location had a huge hot tub for both men and women to share, great for members that love socialize and mingle.If it weren’t for those positives that I noticed, this location would receive a one star rating. I highly suggest for someone to mention some recommendations or even some complaints on this location to the manager of the building to try to get some real upgrades for the Pico Rivera location. I believe the Pico Rivera resident members would really appreciate it.I’m Just saying, not hating. I continue to love LA fitness over any other gym overall.I hope this helped anyone looking for a blunt and very detailed description of this location.

Love LA Fitness, coming here changes my life! For reals!! The pool is always clean, staff is friendly, restroom are clean.

I liked this gym, it is much better than other LA Fitness departments. It is clean and well maintained, it is much more comfortable to play sports. Of course, like in other halls, there are broken fitness equipment or some equipment is missing, but this gym is equipped much better than other LA Fitness gyms.
