Pretty good gym. Open anytime.

We started going here recently and its an amazing gym! Indoor and outdoor equipment. It has a serious atmosphere that keeps me motivated. Love it.

I've been a member/trainer at this gym since day one! It's constantly expanding. They're constantly updating or changing out equipment to keep it exciting. Lots of variety. Lots of space. Family owned, 24hrs, plus Isand Tans! Great gym! Highly recommend!

**edit below**My husband and I have been members since Jan. 2021 and still are. The owners are so kind and they keep their equipment clean and running. Most people don’t bug you when you go. They’re at the gym to lift, not socialize which I love. My main complaint (and the only reason I didn’t put 5 stars) is that they are always crowded unless you go EARLY in the morning. Evenings are the worst. No parking and no machines open.**edit below**Love the atmosphere and the affordability (not to mention they’re the only locally owned gym we could find that doesn’t force you to use their trainers or purchase a class package 🙌🏻) just hoping they continue to enlarge the facility.****While we enjoyed the first year, our second year we wasted money. I stopped going entirely after this past July. They’ve expanded the outside portion but do not clean or maintain equipment outside from what I can tell. I began to see bugs and broken equipment more often inside of the gym as well.They need a bigger space. Mornings used to be manageable but is now very crowded. There are also loud individuals who sing or talk to themselves. While grunts and other noises are normal in a gym, the odd behavior of talking to yourself and screaming at the top of your lungs typically isn’t.We are moving in 6 months and chose not to renew for that period of time but purchase a month-to-month at a chain gym closer to our house since driving 25 minutes for a crowded and unclean gym isn’t my goal for the day.Winston needs more local gyms that don’t require class purchases but we couldn’t continue at rec yard. I hope they move facilities to accommodate for the growth in members and bring back their COVID era cleanliness.

Nearing 2 years of membership. Perfect gym for me. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Everyone is focused on their own lifting but also hospitable and willing to help, spot, and give advice. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a more serious training atmosphere and not looking for that fake commercial gym feel. 24 hour has been awesome. Easy 5 stars.

I’ve been lifting for a little over 7 years now and have never been to a place like this. It has every piece of equipment you could ever imagine. Plates are with in a couple feet away where ever your located at in the gym. It has an outdoor area that’s covered to exercise. It has a basketball court. It has a boxing area. It has literally everything. The atmosphere of this gym makes you work your hardest. Everyone in this place is truly giving their all to be the best version of them selves. The staff makes this place even better. The owners Steve and Robin along with the other employees are friendly, polite, and fair. They want you to have the best experience possible while you put in the work and they provide just that. It’s open 24/7. The place is always clean. Plus when your done lifting you can go get a tan in the same place. I’m telling you there is no place better to get fit. I’m sad to leave it. I would stay if it wasn’t for me moving away.

A true power gym in my opinion. Has plenty of options and multitude of different machines for every muscle group.. as well as indoor and outdoor areas and even some tires to flip and Ropes to swing!

Update to my previous review.I have been going to this gym for a little over a year. And I have only seen the employees take care of their equipment and provide a great service for their customers. They have been improving and expanding the space and bringing in new equipment constantly. It's a great place to hit the weights. Great service and attitude.

I have trained here at Rec Yard/Island Tan for the last year and I absolutely love it. The community is phenomenal and the owners are amazing. I definitely recommend them to everyone who asks me.The staff is professional and definitely know when to motivate you when it’s needed.It is a clean environment as well as high quality.LOVE this place.

My husband and I have been members of the Rec Yard since they opened. We appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. The equipment is great and I love the many options available to obtain the results we are looking for in a workout session.
