The teen class was recommended by a couple of friends for my 12 year old. We were looking for an activity for her to join but she isn't much into team sports and is very shy. Coach Kisa was very welcoming and encouraging. My daughter has been to nearly 10 classes now and I think she is starting to feel stronger and more confident.Update 12/5/22My daughter has been taking this class for about 7 months now and I am so impressed with her strength and confidence! She has impressed herself as well! Kisa is a fantastic coach and I'm grateful she pushes my kiddo just enough to make progress, but not so much that she would ever feel defeated or incapable. Even on the days she's exhausted from the workout, my daughter comes away from class with positive feelings and anecdotes. Thanks coach Kisa!

Yakima CrossFit is my second family. The coaches and fellow athletes are huge part of my life. The coaches do an amazing job to help new people feel like they’re a part of the YCF family. ❤️

I don't know if Kisa Newman is any good because I never got the opportunity to work with her, she failed to call me back or respond to my voice mail. She also missed a phone call meeting that she asked to set up and then became very upset and scolded me when I mentioned I would find someone else due to repeated missed engagements and behaving very unprofessional. Kisa Newman probably has talent as a coach but unprofessionalism and poor communication lost her a new client.

The equipment and facilities here are top notch. They use Wodify to track each person's workouts which is cool. I was admittedly very skeptical of Crossfit due to its reputation in the fitness community for encouraging bad form which leads to injury. However, Holden, the trainer when I went to Yakima Crossfit, was really good about emphasizing good form. He was also incredibly generous when it came time to pay. This place is great.
