4th Ave Gym

This facility has very good equipment and great inspirational music. A very good place to work out get buff and stay fit as far as my experience has been it is a judge free zone so don't worry about what other people say in get to your workout!!!!

I travel year round all over America and hit gyms in just about every state. I get to Yuma a few days every few years and this is my favorite gym in the world. It has it all - including chalk. They have rogue equipment and bands, power racks, bumper plates, all the bars you could want...all the cardio equipment. This place is great for powerlifters, bodybuilders, whatever. No joke gym and a throwback to early Golds Gym.

Nice place to work out and the staff is courteous but the hygiene standards of the gym really disturb me. This something that has bothered me in the past but I am coming down with a cold again and I believe this gym is the main source. One cotton rag to wipe up ones sweaty machine that's switched out every few hours... Does not seem very sanitary or up to health code. They should spend the money to at least provide paper towels or sanitary wipes. It's disgusting to think one rag collects numerous people's sweat, saliva and God knows whatever else to "clean" up after each other.

I've lived in Austin, San Francisco, San diego and now Yuma and this is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. Tons of cardio equipt, free weights, and machines.

I freaking love this gym. I will give my life for this gym for it has given me life. Just kidding lol but definitely the best gym in town and has the richest history! Feels like a big gym family, and brings out the best in many. Keep going 4th you rock

I've been working out here for about 9 months now, I like it much more than anywhere else in Yuma. I've noticed a considerable increase in the cleanliness of the place. They got a guy who's there in the mornings now and for the past month or so there has been a noticeable change especially in the locker room.I've been working out here for about two months and I do like it much more than Planet Fatness and Snap Fitness because of the selection of equipment and the Raquetball courts. I definitely get a way more effective workout here and rarely leave without feeling it the next day. My only real complaint is the cleanliness of the facility, mainly the locker room. I worked out at Planet Fitness (which us spotlessly clean) for over a year and a half and managed to not contract athletes foot but within two months of working out here have a pretty wicked case of it. Also, the toilets almost always seem to have the previous users butt crusties left on the seat and finally the showers, I know for a fact that they are rarely cleaned and disinfected because I've been looking at the same soap container and loofah sitting in the corner of the shower stall and pubic hair sitting atop of the soap dispenser for the past 5 days. Also I developed some sort of minor rash on the under side of my bicep, can't say for a fact that it's from the gym but I speculate that it's certainly possible as I NEVER see any staff wiping down equipment like I did at Planet. Bottom line, if it were cleaner I'd give 4th Ave Gym 5 stars but clenliness is kind of a big deal to me...

Friendliest gym staff in town - very customer oriented. No contracts or startup fees which is a HUGE plus. Old equipment but who cares - it's iron, it's heavy, and it works great. My only complaints about this gym are that it's crowded - there is too much equipment packed into a small space - and that it's always hot in there - so you WILL sweat like crazy.

Super friendly staff, a good selection of weight, cardio, and training equipment. They even have a Rogue Fitness system which is always great. The best part, however, is that they offer affordable day and 2-week passes for visitors. Most gyms don't offer this so it was a huge plus. If you are just in town for a few days and need a gym, this is you spot.
