I’ve been a member of this gym for many years-I joined for the pool, the only indoor heated pool and Alameda. It’s fairly clean members and employees are pretty friendly and fairly respectable. This place has had many changes, over the years, after Covid it became under new management and ownership-So of course, the gym membership and fees have changed.I saw a lot of mixed reviews and thought I would leave my own point of view. They do have a lot of free classes included with your membership. Some downfalls:Yes,Their equipment is somewhat old but it’s usable. Wish they would hire more or better housekeeping, employees, to keep the gym / locker room cleaner- It’s not filthy, but a little more disinfecting in the locker rooms. Would not hurt. since Covid the hours have changed a little disappointed with that.I do like the dry sauna, and a steam room and a private hot tub in the locker rooms aside from the public hot tub near the swimming pool area.Overall, it’s okay! This Gym it’s not bad.I have visited other gyms around the area, not as clean, not much equipment and not indoor heated swimming pools.

The assistant manager made me feel threatened then told me to leave because I was washing my socks in the sink of the ladies locker room. She was horribly aggressive and made me feel threatened so I didn't argue and told her to not renew my membership. She was downright scary and was making body language and verbal ques that she was not just telling me I was breaking a rule but I was sure she was going to punch me?!?!? Then the male staff at the front desk insults me so I definitely don't recommend it to anyone disabled I believe she would have hit me if I didn't leave but it wasn't worth it @ all (to argue). She got extremely close to me and started yelling @ me loudly she seemed racist in all her ways as well because I'm native American perhaps she felt the need to behave the way she did.

Sad to be leaving, but they treated me well. Love coming in, it’s usually quiet and I always get a workout in. Huge shout out to Cam for the swim lessons!!

I use the pool the most and LOVE Michelle's aqua classes. I also take as many of Michelle's other classes as possible which are popular so they are not in danger of being cancelled but...new instructors are always in danger of being cancelled if they don't have more than 10 people in the class. One of my favorite classes was canceled this week because she could not guarantee 10 people per class but the gym does not advertise the classes. They say that they post on Facebook and Instagram but they don't. They leave it up to the instructors. Why! It is a gym, they should advertise. They don't want to spend the money to market. Kamisha's class was so fun and a breath of fresh air at theIf there was another pool that I could join close by I would leave Alameda family Fitness.

I highly recommend Alameda Fitness & Spa for anyone looking for a top-notch gym experience. From the moment my partner and I walked in, I knew I had made the right choice. The Crossfit group at Alameda Fitness & Spa has been so much fun. Kiko and the other trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging, pushing me to reach my limits and achieve my fitness goals. I love the sense of community and camaraderie that comes with working out in a group setting. In addition to the great Crossfit program, this gym offers a wide range of boxing equipment and cardio machines. Whether I want to work on my punches or get my heart rate up on the treadmill, there are plenty of options available. I never have to wait for a machine, which is a huge plus. The membership team at Alameda Fitness & Spa deserves a special mention. Natasha and Camille have been absolutely amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience for their members. They took the time to explain the different membership options, including the option to prepay or sign a contract, and helped us choose the best option for me and my partner.Overall, I can't say enough good things about Alameda Fitness & Spa. The facility, the equipment, the classes, and the staff all contribute to an exceptional gym experience. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, this gym has something for everyone. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed.

They quit doing towels so being your own, they got rid of the swim suit-dryer in the ladies room (men still get one). Only one shower in the ladies room gets warm while the others stay cool-cold; there's usually someone in there or waiting for you if you do use the warm one.The edges around the hot tub are slimy and the hot tub gets smelly sometimes. Sometimes they blast music in the pool room and regularly have 1 / 6 lanes reserved. The pool is often crowded so you may not get to swim.It does have steam room and sauna in each male and female locker rooms, plus hot tub. Free wifi. Equipment is generally fine enough. They do not allow you to cancel and get your prorated refund by the terms in the contract (meaning the hassle and hoops of small claims court) so be careful if you do decide to go here.

The gym is okay (very dark) n VERY old machines. I feel like people didn't get how to manage it well, tho. Unfortunately, it's the only gym with a clean pool around. The front desk has only teenagers that are not trained to work with costumers. They got some unnecessary sassy rules and not very respectful way of talking/showing it to the customers. Hours are very bad, especially during weekends. They always have promotions for a year, which show they do need more customers, but when they get new ones, I don't think they got a plan to make them be welcomed. Still considering keeping my membership since every time I go, I get more descoraged to go back. On Planet Fitness (where I pay 10$ a month) I always feel welcomed and they create an amazing environment to workout.

Sort of Pricey...but, staff is courteous and accomodating. Lots of varied equipment, and very clean. Edward was so nice in patiently explaining things.

This facility was recently bought by a new local owner. He has retained some of the old staff. They are just beginning to bring back some classes. There is still no towel service, but an employee promised towels were in the works and will return. This was once a raquetball club which morphed into a full gym. There is an indoor pool, many weight rooms, lots of equipment, two studios for classes and changing rooms for men, women and families. There is a basketball half court and rooms for ping pong play and raquetball.
