Anytime Fitness

This location needs a revamp. All old machines. All in working condition but seriously needs a remodel/upgrade. Surprised at how much fits in such a small space. Easy key fob into the front door. Okay location located near Safeway which has guards if visiting late at night. Parking is easy right in front. Was put off by the Christmas music blasting at the time I visited. Would probably not visit this location again.

So crowded & scary, unfriendly bad experience showers don't get cleaned often, smells bad, rather work out anywhere else, colors are tacky also. Just bad experience will not try to go back.

24/7. The space isn’t large but they have all the necessary equipment and is never crowded (at night when I go anyway). Also, the price point is very nice. I’ve been going there since moving to Alameda and have been very happy with my choice.

Great gym been going there for years. Owner Stephen knows his stuff if you desire a personal trainer. For those who shower after working out has that too.No it doesn't have sauna,lap pools, basket ball and tennis courts, juice bar, or offer babysitting but...it's not a $120.00 monthly either. The gym has everything most people need. I'm really am very happy there. A real bargain. .

I have been working out regularly here for well over a decade. It's convenient to home and a great value for the price. They have all the weights and cardio machines one needs to stay in shape. The friendly management care about their gym and their members. The gym is always clean and the equipment is always in tip top shape. For less than a cost of a daily Starbucks habit you can workout in comfort and convenience and after your workout drop into Safeway, CVS, and the dry cleaners. You can also check out a book at the library and pickup a meal of pizza, Mexican, Japanese, or Chinese food before you head out. All the members are friendly and the gym is never too crowded. Did I mention convenient free parking? Really if you live or work in Alameda or nearby in Oakland and San Leandro you have no excuse not to be working out.

I’ve been working out here five days a week for over a decade. It’s never too crowded, always friendly, well maintained and cleaned, and management is always available and responsive. Big bonus is its convenient location, large parking lot, and close proximity to grocery, dry cleaning, nail salon, drug store, and eateries. ♥️

Great gym, plenty of cardio and weight machines. Could use more free weights but overall you can get ya swole on at this gym!

It's small, but well equipped for my needs, and the manager does care about the customers. He resolved an issue I had without rancor, accusations, or defensiveness. He fixed the problem in a professional manner and I'll be sure to resume my membership there once the pandemic is on the past.

I have been to 4 other anytime locations in the Bay Area, this one here on bay farm is absolute trash compared to the others. Sure you could claim it’s due to the small size of the gym, but that should make it easier for the employees to clean everything. Every time you touch a plate or a dumbbell at anytime fitness bay farm alameda, you have to physically wash your hands because they absolutely have never cleaned them once. I’m telling you, look underneath their machines and between the moving parts, it’s caked with dust and god knows what else.Also, they charge you a service fee for equipment upgrade, but they literally only update the cardio machines. I was a member at this same location about 8 years ago. All of the cardio machines have been upgraded, literally none of the other weight machines or anything at all have been upgraded.My advice, sign up at a completely different gym company(24, planet fitness) or sign up at a different anytime location, bc this location needs some serious work.They also do not have set cleaning times for their location, so it could be 8 in the morning, or 1 in the afternoon, and you’re gonna be squatting while inhaling Lysol and cleaning materials while you’re breathing heavily from your workout.Honestly the only good thing about this location is the Safeway in the parking lot next to it.
