Vent Fitness in Latham, NY, is a bright and spacious gym with a variety of weights and strength training equipment. It features an upper floor with ample cardio machines, massage chairs, and a tanning bed. While the gym usually sees a lot of traffic, equipment is generally available. The staff, particularly David and Kari, receive high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, some members reported cleanliness issues in specific areas and had negative experiences related to membership fees and customer service.
Overall, the facilities are good, but better management oversight and improved communication about fees could enhance the member experience. It’s also worth noting that some customers find the gym’s weekend hours inconvenient and have faced difficulties with membership cancellations.

Women's locker room always clean on weekdays. The two ladies who maintain that area are exceptional employees. Woman at front desk during the week not very welcoming. There definitely needs to be more oversight in Splash area. Two people sitting, usually idle, at front desk is excessive. I understand that in past there was someone rounding in Splash area. The pool is not large enough and the men jumping in directly from steam and/or sauna is disgusting! Chlorine kills a lot of things but I still don't want to swim in their sweat. I have found in most reviews the management's response is full of excuses and dismissive or sarcastic. ie... Enjoy your time at the Y. Unnecessary and unprofessional. Overall a good gym in need of a tune up.

Good spacing and they are careful at check in and sure we check out. Cleaning seems to be good.Update: pandemic no longer an issue. I enjoy this gym for both the equipment and the people. Folks working there are friendly.Update: nice to see they are repairing equipment.

Okay gym. Switched from ABC. Hours suck. Closing 7 pm on a weekend & 10 pm during the week makes no sense. Im a college student and work so there’s times I can’t make it to the gym before closing and have to miss out on a workout.

During my friend experience at Vent Fitness he was harassed by an Employee named Shaqu Mayo. When he expressed his experience to the Manager and Staff they said they weren't going to do anything about it. Now they are being sued. This place is very unprofessional I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I was coming here to update my review because David was incredibly helpful and patient! I left a review about a year ago for a young lady named Kari, I’m not sure if she’s still there or not but she was absolutely wonderful! I’m not sure where my review went but I just want it to be known that Kari & David are/were friendly faces (:

It's a pretty basic gym. It's fine. I'm moving though and if I'd known how difficult it was going to be to cancel my membership, I might have considered going to planet fitness. I should not have to submit proof of moving or a medical issue just to cancel. Very annoying.

I normally attend Vent in Guilderland for my fitness classes and tanning. But today, I decided to go tanning in the Latham Vent location. The young lady at the desk was very sweet and very helpful with getting me oriented in that location. Thank you! I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but it was great customer service!

Please be aware you'll be paying different types of fees. I've never experienced this before but there is an enrollment fee and membership fee. That comes to about $100. No one explained this to me at the center and no one gave me a tour of the place so I know what to expect. I'm pregnant and joined mostly for the pool. Unfortunately, there's too much chlorine in the water and I ended up having an allergic reaction so I can't use the pool. Overall, I feel robbed and disappointed. I hope this review helps others make better choices.I wouldn't recommend Vent Fitness as an ethical business.

This gym is so bright and open! It’s got all different types of weights and strength training equipment. They also have an upper floor with a ton of cardio equipment. The massage chairs are a great option and the tanning bed. I have yet to try the pool but it looks great! It’s usually pretty busy but there’s always equipment available. Much better environment than other gyms.

While visiting the area for the Xmas Holidays, I purchased a week pass to the Latham location. The signup was painless; it was only $25 for the week pass. However, the gym and locker room could have been cleaner. I noticed a distinctive amount of trash that had not been cleaned for three days in a row in the shower area as well as the stretching area. By this, I mean the trash was unique to show it was left from the days before...It also lacked room and equipment to stretch properly before your workout. In my opinion, it's not worth it for a short-term workout.
