I went for my first class today and I was very impressed. I have been to most of the Yoga studios in the area once or twice over the past 20 years and never felt comfortable going back (I am not interested in hot yoga so I can't comment on those). They were all too intimidating for me to return as a beginner and not very inviting or staff were off-putting and not very welcoming for a sometimes awkward individual like myself. Also a few of the studios were a part of a chain that lacked any personal touch or real yoga feel (some also felt stiff and not very relaxing in general). 532Yoga didn't feel anything like my previous experiences elsewhere and it felt very warm and welcoming upon arrival and the class was very enjoyable for once. I can't wait to go back and try another class!

I moved to Old Town right before the quarantine lockdown went into place so I haven't practiced or attended a yoga class in months. Today I signed up for an alignment class with Suzanne and really enjoyed tuning in with what was going on with my alignment in foundational poses. Suzanne's expertise and cues really helped me think about my seated posture, plank, downward, upward dog and chaturanga dandasana in ways I hadn't before. The studio is beautiful, clean, full of good energy--I'll definitely be back for more classes. [Note: they are open for in person classes but still have virtual options if you’re not comfortable attending in person yet!]

Was visiting a friend in Alexandria and used a Groupon for a few classes. Small but friendly studio with wonderful instructors

Love the mellow, warm vibe here, as well as the great instruction I get from each of the instructors! It's also great they have VetYoga!

Balanced studio. Great blend of instructors and classes as well as workshops. Their app is super easy to use and very convenient; I find myself going to class more because I use it.

Not your average yoga studio!! Nice teachers and great community. Suzan is so knowledgeable and she breaks down the movement in an exhaustive way. And they have knee pads!!

Fantastic instructors, great facility, perfect variety of classes for all skill levels. I'd particularly recommend Ginny Loving's classes for beginners. She does a great job making everyone feel welcome and helping correct your poses so you know you're doing it right.

I moved back to DC five years ago and have struggled to find my new "home" studio. My practice lapsed. Life happened. But I found 532 this summer through Class Pass, and I instantly felt good about the space - and class with Ginny as an instructor really sealed the deal. The focus on alignment in every class was really important to me, and I've found that to be the case with most of the instructors I've tried at 532. It's a great, light-filled space with great staff. So thrilled to have found it and I'm always excited to get back to on my mat there.
