I discovered Barre3 Old Town three years ago and fell in love with the studio, instructors and work out immediately. I have to admit it was hard in the beginning and there were days I couldn’t even walk up the stairs after working out!! But …

The best barre workout in Old Town. (And I've tried them all!) Perfect combination of strength and cardio with staff and teachers who are incredibly welcoming and supportive. Meredith and her staff have created such a wonderful community, clients who want to stay after to chat and instructors have become friends.

I love this place so much (and am missing it terribly right now during the pandemic!). Yes, barre3 is a great workout--I love that it incorporates a strong cardio component and larger movements in addition to the small ones barre as a …

This studio is the best! I've been coming for 3 years and it never stops challenging me. I love the format of Barre3 classes - and now during quarantine they have a huge variety of online and live classes (10 min, 30, and 40-50 min options). The instructors are all awesome, and Meredith and Lindsay have built a strong community.

I’ve been taking classes at Barre3 Old Town since 2017 and could not recommend it more highly. The studio is so welcoming and the classes very approachable no matter what kind of shape you’re in, yet offers a challenging full body workout as hard-core as you want to make it. I do a lot of other forms of exercise, but Barre3 is where I find balance - the first thing I do if I’ve been in a total fitness rut and need to just start something again, the classes that made me strong enough to run a half marathon (I didn’t enjoy running at all until my legs were noticeably stronger from months of Barre3), where I could easily modify and still get a good workout a week after carpal tunnel surgery, and now keeping me sane and in great shape with virtual classes during quarantine. I’ve also tried Barre3 studios (and other barre franchises) in many other cities when I’ve traveled, but in my opinion Old Town is by far the best because the instructors are just that great, full of energy and authentic positivity! I’m going to beg them to keep offering virtual classes when I move abroad soon :)

I started going to Barre3 in December 2017, right after my second child turned one. I'd been struggling for years with chronic back pain and when I walked into Barre3 for the first time, my core was weak, my back hurt all the time, and I had resigned myself to feeling injured, in some way, for the rest of my life. But in the two and a half years that I've been coming to Barre3, I've seen such a huge change in my body, from my posture to my core strength to my overall pain. I am stronger, less prone to injury, and I look forward to each workout. My chiropractor actually asked me what I'd done to remake my posture, and I told him Barre3, and he told me to keep doing it for the rest of my life. :)The Barre3 workout truly does balance out your body, and I love that it's adaptable to each individual body, each individual day. I was able to do the workout throughout my entire third pregnancy and did not experience any of the back pain and weakness I felt with my second pregnancy (when I was running and swimming and had never heard of Barre3). I also love that the workout includes mindfulness and breath-work. The Barre3 philosophy focuses on strength and adaptability, not bikini bodies or pushing through pain. I love it.What makes this studio so special, apart from the workout (which is, as I said, is SO GOOD), are the people. Meredith, Lindsay, and all of the instructors are warm, caring, and friendly. From the moment I started coming here, I felt welcomed into a community, and that feeling has only grown stronger over the last 2.5 years. Now that the studio is temporarily closed because of the pandemic, I especially miss seeing familiar faces and receiving hugs and high-fives in the studio. I've never gone to an exercise studio that has felt so welcoming. It's such a great place. Can't wait to go back as soon as we can gather again!

Barre 3 Old Town is such a special place. I leave every class feeling super sweaty and lighter in mind and stronger in body! The teachers are fantastic and the community is really special. They make it super easy to get a challenging workout in (modified to all levels) and run straight to work after - as they have the best products and showers :) I truly can't say enough about this studio!
