LA Fitness

3.5 stars. One of the nicer of the L.A. Fitness NOVA locations. This location has better parking, and is generally cleaner. Plenty of equipment, plenty of cardio equipment on the second floor. The cardio floor does lack circulation. In the past I have noticed that groups of younger men are let in at one time without showing a pass. One night the police were called when lockers were broken into and car keys 🔑 (and cars) stolen. The Beulah location is part of my multi Nova location membership and well worth it. I did notice during a recent visit that a weight pun was missing from one of the weight machines.

The process is like dealing with sleazy car salesmen. I emailed first to ask a simple question about a membership. and of course the robo email says we can't find any membership online, please call.So I make the dreaded call. What's my name and number (just in case we get disconnected) then they transfer you to some salesperson who want you to come in to see all the options breakdowns. All I wanted to know if I can pay in advance and not monthly payments. I don't need a breakdown and explanation. I just want to pay for six months to a year upfront and be done. But they have to go through some pitch straight out of a car salesman book. No thank you. Know your audience, I'm an older veteran who just wants to get in better shape.

The gym is good but I go because of the kid club they have. Those who care for the children are super nice. I drop my kid knowing that the girls who work there are going to take care of him. Great job LA fitness !!!

The gym has multiple "Scheduled for service" signs on equipment through out the gym. Sometimes for weeks on end. Its a high school hangout for many that don't use equipment they are literally there doing nothing & just sitting at equipment. Front staff is extremely engaged with co worker fun to see what is going on anywhere around them. Locks in multiple women's bathroom stalls do not work. Lack of cleaning supplies. Many times there are no paper towels where needed. Considering a gym change, I've tried being patient. I'm over it. Don't waste your $ here, seek elsewhere.

This place always has broken machines. All members pay a yearly fee for the machines and all but it takes LA Fitness forever to fix them. There’s no sense of urgency.

I have been lifting for 5 plus years and this place was poor. The equipment is low quality and the spacing is horrible. It is way to crowded and the wait time for each machine is too long. I have to get home to my kids to feed them and some nights I get back a hour too late due to the gyms layout and overpopulation. Do not come to this gym, stay small. -John
