Amarillo Town Club is a multi-location gym in Amarillo, TX, offering a variety of facilities and activities. Known for its Olympic-size indoor pool and family-friendly environment, the gym also provides extensive fitness classes and equipment across its two locations. While the staff is generally praised for their friendliness, there have been consistent issues with cleanliness, particularly in the locker rooms, and the availability of pool lanes can be problematic due to school team usage.
If you're in the working class and keen on using the pool, your best chances are late evenings. Although the gym has its challenges, it remains a good value for those focused on aquatics and general fitness.

READ THIS:1. Gym area is pretty small.2. The location on Hillside has a very small room for cross fitness.3. The main pain is that I got this membership because of the indoor lap pool. However, there are a lot of problems if you want to swim. During the summer they lock the restroom which is next to the pool. So if you have to use a bathroom you basically need to end your training or walk all wet across the gym area. Next, when school starts the swimming team occupies at least 4 out of 8 lanes at the pool. They will kick you out of those lanes if you are not done. I could not even get a recent schedule to clarify exactly when they have their training. Moreover, when I tried to argue about I was told that the pool works on the "first comes first serves" basis, but in reality if swimming team pays more than you then technically you don't count anymore :)4. Bathrooms are not the cleanest ones.5. Steam room is mostly dirty because people decide to sit in it fully dressed with their shoes on. As a result everyone has to breath all the bacteria and dirt from their shoe soles.6. Never try to argue with staff because no one wants to hear you nor help you.You decide now!I was waiting to post this for a long time already!

Their bad behavior is bad, especially the women in the nursery for children with short hair. They let the children beat each other badly. I called to tell them and they did not interact.

It's a nice gym but in my opinion, not enough of specific equipment or space. For the price it's great, and if you enjoy aquatics then you'll definitely think it's an amazing gym. Plenty of indoor pool area for exercising, and there's a sauna so that's nice if you use it. Really just needs more equipment and space, but that would be hard to manage without a bigger building. Great staff also.

🚩The gym has gone downhill really bad in the last 10 years!!!!🚩(Terrible Customer Service)!!Continue reading (Member for 10 years)!!⬇️!!The majority of the staff are rude and don’t greet you anymore it used to feel like a second home.!!!The men’s locker room (Steam room and sauna haven’t worked in two years)Now the mens locker room has been under construction since December.!!(Olympic Indoor Pool) If you’re part of the working class and want to use the pool, GOOD LUCK 🍀 you’ll have to fight over open lanes with high school students “….They’ll say that they only use 4 lanes, but their friends, students or people on other swim teams use the other lanes !!You will literally see people getting off work wanting to swim laps…it’s extremely annoying!!! The only time I can go use the pool and know that there might be a lane open is between ( 8:45PM and 10:00pm)Honestly, I loved this gym at one point !! But I would highly recommend spending a little extra money and go to (Verdure) it’s sad that the staff don’t care about the members anymore!!

New home gym. Very clean environment. Equipment is always working, although it can get busy from time to time. Staff is very welcoming. The cycling class can be intense but also friendly and welcoming. There is usually a good variety of happenings in the gym and they offer great classes.

Go into the mens lockerroom sit in the hot tub which is oddly small. And catches forien water at floor level. Look up at the vents sometime. Everyday i was there it was dirty thick. They close a day to clean then vents are still very heavily the same. The outdoor pool makes the city public pools look luxurious. Its very outdated. Other then that i enjoyed the rest

We've tried several gyms in our area and we are really happy with Town Club. They have two locations here in Amarillo, on on Hillside near 575 Pizza and one behind Harbor Freight on Bell and 45th. Only the Hillside location has a steam room and hot tub so I tend to go there more often. Neither locations are very busy, the staff at both are friendly and both facilities are clean. The location behind Harbor Freight is two story and I usually go upstairs to get my Zone 2 cardio workout in before weights. They have weight machines on both levels so like I said, it never feels crowded and I haven't had to wait for a machine. Their rates just went up $5 per month but I still think it's pretty affordable, considering all they offer. Both locations have outdoor pools that should be opening up at the end of this month (May 2022) but the location behind Harbor Freight also has an Olympic size indoor pool and a smaller pool where you can take kids to play. The big pool is for laps only. I recommend trying them out, there's no contract so you can quit at any time.
