From being desperate to getting the job. To working afternoons + some weekends. Covering shifts. Working mornings! 2 years than becoming Manager!! I loved it so much!! Loved all my kiddos! 3 years have passed.. One day getting a call to "you are no longer manager" no ahead of time saying or anything just one day is all it took for them. "Drama" that was never my case but they made it mine and took me off. Lowered my raise to as a worker who barely started. (Mind you I never got another raise after my 6 months Working. only my manager raise and even that they lowered) Cut my hours to a lady they WANTED in the first place to be manager. (Was always treated badly all my concerns and everything I ever said was never taken into granted) But once she comes in they agree to all I ever wanted to do as "ideas she wants" To missing ONE meeting I could not make it in. To Being asked the next day "are you working your shift" I say "yes" and was said "to reapply if i wanted" no Reason no nothing. My call logs were empty no Calls were made but supoosibly were said they called plenty where they went to voicemails. ? "so does that mean I'm getting fired?" "No your not fired just if you want to reapply you can" Basically this was said "lack of communication + Assuming someone quit" no questions just ASSUMING! To ME messaging the main lady for a meeting and was said "Your not fired just letting go oh and + your position has been filled." I NEVER quit or was thinking about it. But than again MY POSITION I NEVER LEFT WAS FILLED without me even quitting. I Quess they never really wanted me to work their in the first place. GOLDS GYM I would never recommend any one else to work their. PERIOD.

Decent gym. The hours of operation on weekends are to short. I prefer to get up very early or go later in the evening. If anything I’d expect the the gym to be open longer on weekends than the weekdays, but that’s not the case. That’s my biggest annoyance here.

How come these reviews never have a zero option? Well that's what this location deserves, after the way we were treated this evening. Tons of gyms here in Amarillo to choose from, I recommend you don't choose this one.

I got hired and only worked 2 days a split one day and 4 hours the next. When I decided not to come back to work there. They decided they weren’t going to pay me. So needless to say I’m having to go to BBB on them. They weren’t very organized but they were very friendly. I was hired as a housekeeping supervisor and the pay they offer is offensive for what they expect. No wonder they are always hiring for housekeeping.

I love this Gym. I am thankful they are in Amarillo. It is the first time I have joined a gym. The front desk people are friendly and helpful. I signed up with a trainer and she has helped me a great deal. I actually hurt my lower back and I was about to cancel my training session. I am glad I kept my appointment with my trainer because she worked with me to give me exercises to relieve my lower back pain. She is working with me to strengthen my core muscle. I highly recommend this gym and my trainer, Blanca Ferrel. Furthermore, my lower back pain is almost gone.

I understand poor service and communication but you can not blame managers for following corporate policy. I enjoy this gym and to say the least I am glad they remain open for the time being. If you are sick, don't go to the gym.

Have been a gym many years. Looked forward to new owners & changes they would make & hopefully fix things that had been broken too long or too many times. This was not to be. Brought down half a wall, lots of paint, & all new floor exercise equipment. Hot tub in women's locker room is over 20 years old & broke or the jets don't work all the time. Takes week or more to get parts & is down untill further notice. Needs signage very much in women's dressing room. Carpet was to be taken out & has had plumbing problems many times in shower area. These things & others haven't been taken care of it is rumored because "they ran out of money". These need to be attended to because Gold's is a good gym & Kim Lane & other instructors are great & it is easily located for me. Hire back Melissa in child care & take care of your older clients too. Too much spent on aesthetics, take care of what's broke.

Customer service is awesome. The equipment is great. The women's gym IS small but adequate. However I chose this gym for the availability the pool. Tonight I planned to go at 730 after the last class ON THE SCHEDULE. I happened to call in to ask a question before I left only to be told that several nights a week an outside source uses the pool until 830. Very disappointed. Will be looking in to another gym. If I cant use the pool according to schedule why bother?
