I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the work outs but it all went downhill once I was ready to cancel due to moving out of state. My billing date for every month was on the 3rd and I gave a 60-day notice and I was told to come in before the 1st of July. I was unable to accommodate this so I went in on July 1st and decided to cancel the membership immediately for $99. I confirmed with the front desk staff member that since I didn’t make it before the 30th if it would affect my cancellation and that If I did this I wouldn’t be charged as well on the 3rd. It was confirmed by them and I double checked verbally just to be sure and was told that I would only be charged the fee to cancel immediately ($99) instead of paying for two more months. Sure enough, they charged me $160 and I was livid. When I emailed the GM I was told that they will only go off the emails sent back and forth and that they will only be required to review the policy with their staff. They basically implied that it was my own fault and that I should have read the terms. This is information that was not clear to me and that is why I trusted to ask a staff member. Turns out they don’t even know the policy so I was told incorrect information and I still had to pay for it. I have asked for someone above the GM (Arika) and I have not gotten any responses. The staff member also said that if I was charged extra that she should speak to her manager and get it credited back to me. Obviously that was just something she made up. I absolutely can not stand facilities that do not have knowledgeable staff and blame the customers for something done by the business. It was a lot of money that was taken out without me even being aware of it and that put me in a bind. Unbelievable how businesses don’t take responsibility for their own actions.

Beware the cancelation policy....you still have to pay them for 60 days when you cancel membership
