If you are thinking about it, do it. Worst case scenario would be that you finish the initial --and free-- training session and then decide it isn't for you. If you are like me, this isn't likely to happen. My mentality changed drastically from 'this is something I am interested in' to 'this is something I HAVE to do.'Expect the staff to get to know you and hold you accountable for your goals, which they will press you to verbalize. In your coaches, expect expertise in the martial arts modality they are tasked with instructing as well as excellent teaching modeled by positive reinforcement. If you are shopping for gyms to join, you can stop now. The founders of this place have been successful in creating a culture that pushes you to better yourself.Come in with humility and a willingness to learn. Leave with a sense of confidence and an eagerness and enthusiasm for your next scheduled training session.Regardless of age or skill level, if you feel like you need to get after it, then get after it! This is powerful stuff that could change your life for the better.Walk in the door, speak with the incredible individuals behind the desk, and schedule your first training session. You got this!

This is a very welcoming and helpful environment. I’m glad I started Muy Thai and did so at this gym. All of the staff are very helpful, and the positive energy that Coach Duece has every class is something I look forward to.

Been a member for a while now and this gym is special. Not only are the coaches knowledgeable as well as experienced, every member of staff genuinely cares about your well-being and progress. Couldn't have made a better choice of gym.

What an amazing gym. I’ve been to a few while traveling for work and this was easily my #1. Stayed for 3 months. Training bjj in Asheville at Rogue was easily the highlight of my stay. You’re welcomed like family from day 1. If you’re thinking of starting bjj, this is the perfect place to begin. If you already train, this is an excellent place to get some hard rounds. Zach is one of the head instructors. Answers any and all questions from beginner to advanced. He has the type of jiu jitsu we all aspire to have one day and just all around good guy. Don’t let “good guy” fool you though …. if you’re lucky enough to roll with him …. Good luck. Tyler is another coach there you’ll meet, another awesome dude. And the front staff is welcoming every time you walk in. Couldn’t say enough about this place …. Just thank you.

I've been taking Muay Thai classes at Rogue for three weeks now, and couldn't be happier with my decision. Learning Muay Thai is just what I needed to reinvigorate my workout routine and refocus my mind, and Rogue provides a fantastic environment in which to do so. Memberships are reasonably priced, the gym is kept clean, and you'll learn a lot about health and fitness even outside of specifically martial arts.I'm continually blown away by the staff. They've all been extremely friendly, helpful, and earnest. I trust the coaches with--arguably more valuable than my life--my free time, and I've yet to be let down. I'm always having a great time in class and looking forward to the next. Additionally, as a trans person, I was honestly pretty trepidatious about joining a gym: it can be hit or miss as to whether that's going to be a safe space to be in or not (there are some certified horror stories out there). However, I definitely feel safe and welcomed at Rogue. The staff here that I've interacted with have all been cool and I have yet to have a problem with any other members.TL;DR: Rogue has my highest recommendations. If you're looking to learn something new, break a sweat, meet new people, grow, or some combination of the above, give Rogue a try!

I stumbled upon rouge combat club by complete luck and my experiences there so far have been absolutely incredible. My first class I was very intimidated and extremely nervous. I walked in the front door to a room full of people but I felt so welcomed by the coaches and the staff. They all accepted me with open arms and provided exceptional support. Going to class has changed me in more ways than one. It enhances me mentally physically and emotionally. Rouge combat club is a community of exceptional members, coaches and staff. The classes are challenging but completely worth it. Being a part of this family is the best decision I’ve ever made!!!

As a femme individual who has a history of SA/DV I was extremely nervous starting something I knew would be male dominant. However, I have not been made to feel uncomfortable a single time! (By the staff or other patrons) I can tell the coaches genuinely want to help me gain that confidence and skill. Everyone makes me feel welcome and like it’s okay to be just getting started.
