I have had the pleasure of doing Pilates sessions with Karen for several months now via Zoom. At our initial session I explained my goals and outlined my body weaknesses and injuries, and from this Karen has created a series of exercises to address my individual needs with nothing more than a yoga mat and a hand towel! She has a very caring nature and has been helping me find my powerhouse and build up my core strength, while being mindful of my lower back problems. I am amazed at how Karen can talk me through the exercises, step by step and give me the prompts at the right time to achieve my goal. It’s as though she is in the room with me! I look forward to travelling to Asheville one day soon and being able to take classes with Karen in person.

I have been seeing Karen at Westside and am so grateful for our sessions. She is helping me to reach some important goals I have had and she has really kept me motivated throughout each session. In truth, I am in disbelief almost at how much progress I have made with Karen’s guidance! I would recommend trying out Pilates to anyone, even if you don’t know what it is yet, we can all benefit from Pilates & Karen at Westside will work with you from the ground up…she explains all of what you need to know and guides you through each movement practice with customized care that is unparalleled. I’ve never had am experience like this before - so grateful for my sessions with Karen!

I’m so grateful to be working with Cindy and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND incorporating weekly workouts with her!!!She is a deeply skilled teacher with extensive pilates experience and a background in occupational therapy. Through her experience in practicing and teaching Pilates AND her knowledge of the body, she creates a synergy of practice and flow that is unique and effective. She’s is also a joy to be around, motivating, and very dependable.

If you’re tempted to try Pilates, don’t look any further. I absolutely love Cindy and the team at Westside! The space is super inviting and has so many different equipment options, and Cindy is so knowledgeable and encouraging in every session. Her hands on approach has really helped me to progress and gain confidence in my Pilates practice and she’s just so fun to work with!

I first began working with Cindy Gunther three years ago at Clasique Studio. Even there she was a stand out instructor. Her knowledge extends beyond Pilates as she is also an occupational therapist. Her greater knowledge has helped me as throughout my life I have had multiple back/neck/shoulder injuries. To be able to continue a rigorous workout without sustaining additional injury has been a primary goal for me. Cindy has enabled me to navigate through my body challenges and stay fit. You too would be extremely fortunate if you could work with her.As for her new studio, it has all the equipment needed for a great Pilates workout and they are keeping it safe in this challenging health time… Light and airy with lots of plants.

I love the staff at Westside Acupuncture & Pilates!! Cindy is a fantastic and knowledgeable instructor with many years of experience. As a bonus, she’s fun to spend time with so my sessions fly by! Skye has used her considerable skills in acupuncture and cupping to keep me active as my body starts to show it’s age! I would highly recommend this business.

I started doing Pilates with Cindy a few months ago, and it’s been the best thing for me coming back into my body postpartum! Cindy is knowledgeable and has a profound understanding of anatomy and physiology from her other career as an occupational therapist. She pushes us while being mindful about avoiding injury and she’s flexible and understanding when it comes to all of our crazy schedules. I always leave so much better. I only wish I could go several times a week! I highly recommend Pilates at this studio.

I’m a marathon runner and incorporate Pilates as apart of my training program. I work with Cindy twice a week on the reformer, wall unit and chair to strengthen my core and body in a very efficient and effective way. I’ve been working with her for years and continue to see the positive benefits of Pilates in my life and marathon training. I ran the Boston marathon last month at 52 for the third time and ran stronger and felt better than ever. I attribute this to my commitment to Pilates and working with the amazing team at Westside Pilates. The studio instructors are amazing and so knowledgeable. I love Pilates and working out with Cindy and others. It is so fun and effective in keeping me fit and strong as I age. The results are very apparent in my performance as a runner and helps me stay injury free. Come check them out. It’s worth the investment to gain strength and balance in a fun and effective manner. My core has never been stronger as I learn to fully engage it in everything I do. So important and what I’ve learned through Pilates.

I had never tried Pilates before, but after having two babies I wanted a safe way to get back into my body and build strength. I’ve been a yoga practitioner and body worker for over a decade and this is an amazing way to move. I absolutely love my time with Cindy, she is an incredible teacher, truly! Can’t recommend her or this form of movement highly enough. Pilates is brilliant and complex and Cindys depth of knowledge is impressive.
