Workout Anytime Weaverville

I called and canceled my membership during the pandemic months ago and now I have a charge on my debit card for over $400. I went in 2 days ago to discuss a refund and was told I could only cancel if I was moving out of state. I have read some reviews and apparently this is not the first time they have done this. Its a shame when a company takes advantage of people during times like these. I would highly recommend seeking fitness elsewhere as the level of professionalism is at an all time high with this location.

Up until the pandemic, my husband and I enjoyed going to the gym. Unfortunately once the pandemic hit, the business I worked for was dissolved. Once Workout Anytime did a soft reopening according to Governor Coopers order - only allowing those with a doctors recommendation to workout, they began the billing process again. They sent out an email which went to spam. Then, we noticed a charge on our account for the gym which we 1) didn't have a doctors note to workout 2) nor did we feel comfortable working out at a gym with people sweating, etc. during a pandemic. My husband called Workout Anytime to cancel our membership and they said we would have to come in to do so (first error in a global pandemic - if we don't feel comfortable coming in, there should be another way to cancel). So, we come in to an employee not wearing a mask to cancel our membership. He says we can cancel for a large fee or we can "freeze our account." I asked if there is any wiggle room with this due to the pandemic, at which point he put his mask on. I guess he then realized I cared about him wearing a mask. I emailed Matt the manager multiple times to which he hasn't responded to two of the emails. He didn't give any leeway to the fact that I am unemployed during a pandemic and can't throw $350 to a gym that I literally and legally cannot use at the time. So I "froze" the account. Now, it is October and we received another charge on our account. Still no email response from Matt. I understand the need to keep the business afloat amidst the pandemic and want to support the Weaverville community. But now seeing that they are taking advantage of those in the community to get every last dime out of someone is unethical and poor business practice. You find out who people really are in time of hardship. Anyways, I'm sure the response to this review will be a canned response to contact the corporate office which I already plan to do. Just a warning to all of those wanting to workout right now- I'd look into gyms that care for their customers health and safety rather than taking advantage of those in their very own community.

I've been a member of Workout Anytime Weaverville since November 2019. I tried multiple gyms before making Workout Anytime Weaverville my home gym. The gym is extremely clean and well maintained. Staff are always friendly and ready to lend a helping hand. The MX4 classes they offer are a great workout for all fitness levels. The other members and staff have became family to me. I highly recommend this gym.

I’m grateful they are taking covid protocol seriously. Gym is always clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I’m getting my health back on track thanks to my trainer Quentin. He’s really motivated me and has made me looking forward to my workouts!

I am loving this gym! I have traveled the country, and usually select a large corporate gym with access anywhere, anytime. WA-Weaverville provides my required access, but has a very friendly, family atmosphere. The trainers, coaches, and staff are friendly, and recognize folks by name. They are available to show you how to use the equipment, offer encouragement, and tell you they missed you when you happen to skip for an entire week. The locker rooms and exercise equipment are clean, with ample cleaning stations throughout the building. Staff can be seen cleaning routinely. Reasonable Covid-19 precautions are enforced. There are no loud, obnoxious people working out and making others feel self-conscious. The group workout classes are run efficiently with lots of support and excitement. In short, I definitely recommend this gym over any others in the area!

This is a great gym! Everyone is so friendly and the staff is willing to help out in anyway they can. The gym is very clean and has a nice variety of equipment. I hired a personal trainer to help me recover from rotator cuff surgery. He has really motivated me and helped me improve my range of motion, all while having fun! I would highly recommend this gym and it’s personal trainers!

I love this gym! When I walk in Lacey or another staff member always greets me with kindness! They’re also very helpful if you need help with anything! The gym is always clean and well maintained! The other members are so supportive of you and each other as well and kindness is only one of the many qualities of this gym!!!

I have been going to this gym for over a year now and I was pretty knowledgeable about working already. I never really thought I would need a trainer until I met Andrew Herbert. He is very knowledgeable about fitness and has definitely taught me some things I did not know. My performance and strength has definitely improved and I am thankful for that. The staff is great and the gym is kept very clean. Everyone in there is very nice and we all help each other out. I highly recommend joining this gym.

Great gym! The atmosphere is wonderful, clean, and the staff are super friendly. I've been with Workout Anytime for over 5 months, and I've never had any issues. Also, this gym is great for where ever you are in your fitness journey. They have every thing I need to fulfill my fitness goals!

I live in Florida and came to NC for Christmas and New Year. I'm a bodybuilder and I need to maintain my training. This gym is amazing and has everything I need! The staff are great and super polite! I loved this gym.
