My 2nd home

I came in for a tour and Adrian met me at the door with enthusiasm. He showed me the place and explained the different areas and all that the gym had to offer. His welcoming demeanor is what sold me. I told him my friend had referred me and he lit up. You can tell that Adrian takes pride in those that work out there and is excited to welcome new guests. He set me up with everything I needed within 30 minutes. Now my wife and I have a gym that’s close to home that we can go to whenever and even attend classes when they have them. If anyone is looking for a good gym without any of the intimidation, I fully suggest going to see Adrian at Anytime Fitness.

I've been a member on and off for about 3 years. It's a very clean gym with a courteous and professional staff - they're engaging and do a fantastic job of maintaining the facility. In terms of equipment, it depends on what degree of workout you're looking for. They have a decent arrangement of machines in the front portion of the gym, but they're lacking a few things (tricep machine, lateral delt machine - they do have a shoulder press machine but it's not the same). The cardio selection is decent, but the addition of a stair stepper machine that is not escalator-style would be great. There's a large open area for stretching, calisthenics, TRX and kettle bell workouts. The weight training area could use a redesign to move some equipment around, it needs a pec-deck Hammer Strength machine and a hack squat machine - there's room for both. Lastly, I frequent the other Anytime Fitness gyms in the local area and notice the other locations have merchandise for sale (t-shirts and protein shakes/water). The cooler at the Fury's Ferry location is empty. Bottom line: if you want a generally decent cardio/strength workout, it's a great gym with a great staff in a great location. If you're looking for a more serious workout, you might want to consider the Columbia road location or elsewhere.
