I moved to the area recently from out of state and quickly fell in love with the environment Liberty Jiu Jitsu provides.First of all, the location is great. The gym is located about 5 minutes outside of Gate 6 and is in a quiet part of Grovetown. It’s the cleanest mat I have ever trained on and the facilities the gym offers is top tier. There’s two separate mats to train on, showers, two changing rooms, two bathrooms (also extremely clean), plenty of storage for gear, and places to sit if you’re a parent and wanting to watch your child during class.There’s a variety of classes including preschool, kids ages 5-13, wrestling, MMA, Muay Thai/Kickboxing, competition training, private lessons, sparring, fundamentals and intermediate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and even a Women’s Self Defense class. The class schedule is packed and all of the instructors are kind and great at teaching new skills to students. Staff is also very knowledgable about training smart and setting healthy goals for yourself.I think the thing that stands out the most is how the community there is so welcoming. The people at Liberty are not shy about welcoming you with open arms and making you feel comfortable training with them. I quickly felt right at home at this gym after moving and if you’re questioning whether or not you should check Liberty out, this is your sign to come try out a class! I'm rating it 5/5 on google, but this is a solid 12/10 place to train.

Great group of people, awesome place to train. I felt like a part of the family from the first time I stepped foot on the mat. Dustin and the instructors are very knowledgeable and patient, went out of the way to make me feel at home. Highly recommend

I was in town for a short period of time, I was able to jump right in and continue training without any issues. The team is incredible, professional and just overall very kind. I felt right at home on the mats here. I will also say the gym is very clean, new and a great place to train. Thank you Dustin for your coaching and helping me feel welcome on the mat!

Great place to train with partners of all sizes and experience levels. Instruction great for point out holes in your technique. If you’ve been away from the jiu jitsu community come back here and help build a gym fam

I highly recommend training at Liberty Jiu-Jitsu. Great instruction, tough and technical sparring and a warm and friendly atmosphere make it the complete package for grapplers of all skill levels. The academy is clean and spacious, complete with changing rooms, gear storage, and showers.Whether you are passing through, or looking for a home gym, you cant go wrong with Liberty.

Absolutely wonderful jiu-jitsu gym. Great people, friendly atmosphere, great coaches and very accommodating schedules. Dustin is a great all around guy who has went above and beyond to work with my crazy schedule. Alex is an awesome instructor with plenty of patience for us newbies. If you are looking for a new jiu-jitsu home, give Liberty a try.
