We have been students at Universal Martial Arts Dojos (UMAD) for four years. During that time, we have become part of the UMAD family, and that is what the experience at UMAD is. More than just students and instructors. Sensi Broadwater III is a kind, caring, inspirational and strict instructor. Showing a true interest in the whole student development.Sensi Broadwater III teaches the true elements of UFAF Discipline, Integrity, Loyalty, and Respect in a manner that students grasp and learn with. The whole staff at UMAD is truly interested in shaping young people into becoming good adults. Many activities have been added other than classes to help build comradery between staff and students.

I cannot say enough for what Sensi Crosby and Ms. Pam as done for my daughter at UMAD. My daughter started lessons with Sensi Crosby going on three years ago.She begin her lessons shy, quiet, and lacking confidence in herself. Sensi and Ms. Pam has helped my daughter grow so much the past few years; she has made lifelong friends and is now confident enough to get in front of hundreds of people to compete. In fact, her confidence that she has found since UMAD is also helping withher academics. Joining UMAD with Sensi Crosby and Ms. Pam has been the best decision for my daughter.

My son joined UMAD recently and it has been awesome. I wanted him to learn confidence, discipline and a skill that he can remain focused in. I know UMAD should win “Chuck Norris System” School of the year because of the dedication Sensi Crosby shows each class and to each of his students.Sensi Crosby has been a great inspiration for the dojo kids class. He leads with intention and created a safe place for his students to learn and feel comfortable.Ms. Pam has been amazing with making this new adventure a smooth process - what a motivation and dedication she is to UMAD!!

To whom it may concern,Hi my name is Jean and I represent UMAD. My teacher's name is Sensei Crosby. I really believe Sensei Crosby should win Chuck Norris School Of The Year, and Instructor Of The Year…why? He is an amazing teacher with patients who don't mind showing you over and over and even breaking it down for you to get it. I love the way he is so organized and his school is always so clean. His school is family oriented and full of respect for one another everyone helps each other at times. The way he teaches is fun, exciting, rejuvenating. He is outstanding with kids that he teaches as well as adults. There is never a dull moment at UMAD. I look forward to going because everytime I go I learn something new. He doesn't mind allowing you to record him so you can practice what you learned at home so yes my vote is for Sensei Crosby and Mrs Pam for motivational. I hope you feel the same way too.Thank you KindlyJean M.

Sensei Crosby goes above and beyond CONSISTENTLY every week to bring his best and bring the best out of his students. My son is enthusiastically engaged and focused in Sensei Crosby's class and the skills he has learned has helped him in real life situations. He has learned not to be aggressive, but to be aware of his surroundings, stand up for what is right, and get help from the appropriate people. Participating in classes at UMAD has given my son the confidence to do all of these things. Taking up karate is a time commitment and a financial one, but Sensei Crosby shows you the VALUE of the program. We are so grateful that we found UMAD and to be part of the UMAD family!

My boys have been going to UMAD for a little over a year now. Sensei is very good with real word application for little ones. Not only have a witnessed increased focus and determination with my boys, I have witnessed the growth of the other children in their class as well. It is very exciting to witness.

Sensei Crosby has created an excellent learning environment. The kids are able to listen to him and respect him. He not only teaches martial arts, but instills confidence. The participants are taught to honor and respect one another, to be patient, to tell the truth and to try their best. Sensei Crosby incorporates games and fun activities into the learning curriculum to keep the kids motivated and engaged. The dojo is welcoming and clean. The environment is a safe space for the kids to try, fail, and get back up to try again. The attitude throughout the lessons and in the dojo is a positive and supportive one. Mrs. Pam always greets us with a smile and is ready to help in whatever way she is able.

My son has been going weekly for close to a year and has grown so much. Sensi Crosby is nothing short of awesome. I would give 10 stars if I could. He loves what he does and it shows in the way he interacts with the kids and parents. I honestly don't know who enjoys the class more me or my kid. I highly recommend umad.

My sweet, once shy, little girl loves going to UMAD. She looks forward to class every week. Sensei Crosby truly has a gift of reaching the hearts and minds of every student that walks through the door. My daughter has improved so much with self-esteem, confidence, focus, and self-worth. I am very impressed with the instruction and dedication Sensei Crosby has to each member of UMAD. I can't recommend UMAD enough!
