This gym has been amazing since undergoing new ownership. They have created a fantastic atmosphere to workout in, along with great equipment. Not to mention their small group training classes have me in the best shape of my life.

My husband and I really enjoy going to Anytime Fitness in Aurora, off of Gartrell Road. The staff is always friendly and ready to help with anything we need. The Fitness Center is fully renovated and has more than enough equipment that we will ever need. It brightens our days when we go to workout or take one of the many classes that they offer.

I have resisted going to a gym for most of my life. I just did not like to exercise. Then I tried Paula Lane’s Functional Aging class. Now very week I look forward to working out with Paula and the rest of our class. Paula keeps the workout fun and challenging. She is positive and helpful. I never thought I would say “I like going to the gym.”

The facility itself is okay. It’s small, but it’s clean. Getting them to stop charging us, however, is beginning to feel impossible. My contract ended in January. I called in November and January to double check when my contract ended. They charged me in February, so I called and asked why I was charged, given my contract ended. They said we were now on month to month and that we had to come in person to fill out their form before we could end month to month. I don’t understand why I needed to fill out a form to get them to stop charging us since there is no longer a contract in place, but anyway, I told them I couldn’t come in person so they emailed me the form. I filled out the form and emailed it back. They still charged us in March. I emailed and asked why, and they said they hadn’t received the form. I filled out the form AGAIN and emailed it to them AGAIN. And yesterday they charged us for April. So far it’s been about $265 since I’ve tried to part ways with this gym. I try not to write bad reviews unless it’s extenuating circumstances and I’ve already exhausted all my efforts to resolve the situation myself, since I understand the impact a bad review has on a business. But omg I cannot understate how annoying and difficult this situation has been. It’s one of those situations where it’s like, I already have enough going on like everyone else. Why does this have to be hard? Gyms have got to stop doing this stuff where they trap people into paying them without actually providing an environment that justifies $44/month. We’ve already moved on to a new gym that has everything we need 9 months ago. I knew I signed a contract for a year and I upheld my end of the contract, I paid every month like I was supposed to, despite finding out that the gym wasn’t a good fit for me only a few of months in and sucked it up as life taxes. So I write this review in hopes that someone can learn from my experience and not make the same mistake I did.
