Really fantastic gym. Had a wonderful time doing the trial class. Met with Elton, and trinity. Really good coaching and a good competitive yet friendly environment.

Went for muay thai, got muay thai based exercise class. There's no coaching or teaching. Just instructions to follow that are given before the drills. This includes sparring class. I never been to a gym where students are left to spar completely on their own before here. I understand not everyone likes their mistakes pointed out or wanting to focus the coaching on their fight members, but I didn't grow at all here.

Gym is fantastic and the people are very welcoming. The training is great and they watch for your form and have no problems repeating steps or answering questions about it. Probably all around the best gym you could go to start your journey into MMA or even specifically Muay Thai. I would’ve kept going but job changes put theirs and my schedule at a conflict as their classes or later in the day. If they had morning classes I’d keep going.Summary: If you are new and in the area go to a free class. You’ll be welcomed and fit in.

Visited Austin for the weekend and took the free trial at Ambush. It was awesome and I would definitely recommend checking this gym out. I've been training Muay Thai and MMA for ~ 2-3 years now and this gym is great for learning Muay Thai and striking. The coaches (Sean and Elton) were very helpful and friendly. Everyone in the class was there to learn and get better. Will be coming back when I'm in Austin again.

I have been coming to this gym for a little over two years, and I couldn’t be happier. The community here at Ambush is a kind and supportive one, filled with people who want to improve, and who want to see that their peers do the same. All the staff are patient and attentive, offering technical advice that has vastly improved my fight game since I started. Elton Wells, the head coach at Ambush has developed an extremely effective and practical system of fighting that is creating world-class champions like you’ve never seen before. I have made many friends here and have learned so much, and If I had to go back in time and do it all over, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Started training here a year and a half ago with zero experience in martial arts (& sports in general tbh). Took a while to work up the courage but turns out I had nothing to worry about. I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming and supportive bunch & the instruction is top notch from all the coaches!Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fighter; whether you want to compete or just get in shape & make some cool friends. It’s the best.*** Intro lesson is FREE ***Come check it out!

Amazing experiences at this gym. Excellent team of coaches and they don’t just teach, they do. Check out their instagram @ambushmuaythai. I would recommend them to any level person that has a serious interest in Muay Thai. Extremely inclusive group so don’t be shy.

The coaches here really do care about you. Not only is it the best Muay Thai gym I’ve tried but the people here are super welcoming and supportive every single time you come to train. They really believe in helping people wherever they can, both on and off the mats. Ambush is definitely the place to be if you want to develop some nasty art of 8 limbs.

Title: Excellent Training at Ambush Muay ThaiAmbush Muay Thai provides an exceptional experience for kids and parents alike. The instructors here are professional, caring, and understanding. They've shown exceptional adaptability in working with my 7-year-old autistic son.The quality of lessons is commendable. They've designed a curriculum that preps kids for the ring, keeping it engaging yet disciplined. My son's progress in both self-confidence and physical skills speaks volumes about their approach.Overall, Ambush Muay Thai offers top-tier, inclusive training. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a solid foundation in Muay Thai.

I have greatly enjoyed my time training at Ambush Muay Thai and would recommend this gym to anyone looking to train, especially those new to the sport. Elton and his team are not only excellent teachers and coaches, but have done a great job in fostering a friendly, fun and inviting atmosphere in the gym.As someone with 0 martial arts experience prior to Ambush, I felt quite intimidated on my way to my first class, but I immediately felt welcomed by the instructors and the other students. Everyone from fellow newbies to veterans was kind, patient, and friendly, and was happy and willing to answer my questions and explain movements to me. The gym is full of people of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life, and everyone is happy to lend a hand and make you feel included from Day 1. Elton and his team have built a great thing at Ambush, and I would encourage anyone who has even a passing interest in trying Muay Thai to reach out to them to set up an intro class.
