I have officially been here a year. For me, that's unheard of as I don't do any type of workout for a year because I either a) don't feel comfortable or b) I don't see results. So, am I seeing results on the scale - no. But, muscle weighs more than fat. Where do I see the results? In my pants size, bra size, and overall clothing size. Clothes that I haven't been able to wear for a few years are fitting again. I can walk to my car carrying my backpack without breathing heavy. I can take a flight of stairs without being winded. I can sit on the floor and get back up without looking like an overturned turtle. This gym beats other gyms and personal trainers because they give you a new program every 6 weeks. You are given a set of workouts and for 6 weeks, you do those workouts. You can start an exercise with a 5 lb weight doing 6 reps and at the end of 6 weeks, you could be at 10 lbs and 10 reps. You have a written record of your progression. After 6 weeks, you get a new set of exercises. This way, you don't get bored and all of your muscles will get a workout. All the trainers rock. There isn't anyone that makes me feel uncomfortable. Being a woman, that's important to me. If you keep with a regular schedule, you'll see the same people working out week after week. We encourage each other and, after the isolation of covid, it feels good.By far, the best workout experience that I've ever had.

For anyone looking to level up their strength no matter the starting point (beginner, part-time fitness enthusiast, or seasoned athlete), consider this gym. There are many benefits for me including: it's by appointment only, no crowded gym spaces; it's an unpretentious space; it's personal training only, which has been necessary for me given my limited experience weight lifting; and it has excellent trainers. My personal trainer, Melanie Denton worked with me last year to build power and strength to help me reach my goal of Cap10K Queen of the Hill, which I achieved! She builds my programs to both challenge and interest me. The only downside is that it's a 30 minute commute for me, but the drive is worth the reward. If you have a fitness goal, even if it's to do something other than sit once a week, I highly recommend GrassIron Fitness!

I've been working with Erica the last 7 months and highly recommend training with her. Grass Iron is very welcoming whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Well maintained equipment, friendly staff, lots of focus on form, and the personalized training plans are great

"If you want to go fast, you go alone. If you want to go far, you go together" - unknown. I used to go fast when I lifted weights in my 20s. Now as a father of two in my 40s, I was looking to go far. I therefore contacted this gym and it was the best thing that I ever did for myself. They responded immediately, developed a customized plan that worked for me, and got me started again. I have started and stopped workouts many times over the past 20 yrs but nothing stuck, until now. GrassIron developed a personalized program with goals and consistency allowing weightlifting to become a part of my lifestyle rather than just something that I do. In a short few months I am already lifting what I was when I was in my 20s. The best part is that I am only getting started! I am forever grateful to the GrassIron Fitness and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to make fitness a part of their lifestyle regardless of where in their life's journey they are starting out.

I feel like I’ve tried it all before but I have finally found the place for me. Here’s why:I feel like this gym actually heard me when expressed my interests, concerns, and even frustrations with the many times I’ve tried to get back into strength training in the past.I truly felt like this gym met me where I was. I have 3 different back injuries and most gyms try to up-sell you into some intense package that you can’t get out of. This place isn’t like that. There are no walk-in free style workouts. Your worth a every time you come in. They may be working with 2 other people but they’re monitoring your form and keeping you on track and motivated.I really appreciate how they check in before, during, and after each workout and if something doesn’t feel right, they are quick to offer suitable alternatives.
