The minute you walk in, the salesmen lock onto you like a shark smelling blood. It's a gym membership it's not that deep but they will try every sales tactic to get you to sign on the spot. I wasn't impressed with the quality of machines, and a couple were broken. The salespeople hype it up like it's the garden of eden when it's just a standard gym chain.I signed up with Golds simply because they didn't have salespeople and they actually recommend I sign up through my insurance for a cheaper rate.

Don Demonteverde gave me and my brothers a great experience and went over all the details for membership and this awesome club. Front desk staff are rock stars with Cadie and Eric being really friendly. Don, thank you for setting up my membership here, this is fantastic place to work out at!

I have been trying to cancel my membership for over 6 months now. Either manager is busy or I need to come in during mon-fri work hours (dumb).The girl at the front desk was not helpful just told me to come back from 9-5.Trash gym terrible machines and even worse policies. I have to mail something in to cancel my membership likes it's the 70s.

This La fitness is awesome. Best gym in south Austin. Super clean gym, good equipment, and nice staff. Don helped set me up, make sure to ask for Don when you come in. Great guy!

Tyler, Perry & Don were super helpful and awesome letting me come in as a guest with my buddy. Excellent and cheerful service! Gym is super clean and the busiest times were not bad at all!

Used to be a good place to work out years ago but that is really hard to do when this place is more packed than a club. Doesn’t matter if it’s 7am, lunch time, 3pm, 9pm good luck getting to your workout. Basketball court has been closed/damaged for all of 2023 basically with no end in sight. They also took away all paper towels (man those must have been expensive!!) and no workers are whipping down machines/benches. Lord knows the guests are not…If you are looking to meet every newcomer in Austin this might be your place , otherwise I’d look elsewhere

Never go to this LA Fitness. Front desk and customer service was very rude. If they try to set you up with Aaron when you're signing up, request to be with someone else. Absolutely money hungry and cares more about getting you to sign up for a membership than the customers needs. I will not be going to this location ever again. Very unattractive when you can literally feel that all they care about is a sale. Hopefully that dude gets terminated. He's a bad look for business

Honestly surprised this place has 4 stars. Decently cheap (if you lock into a whole year) but the sales guys are aggressive and pretty rude. Dude clowned on me for the gym I was currently at. They’re always closing early, basketball court is shut down 95% of the time. Even when it’s open, tons of people go and you can rarely get a game. Extremely packed from 4-7… can’t get machines, standing in saunas, etc. Also mo water fill stations!!! What gym in 2023 doesn’t have water fill stations?? In fact the water isn’t even cold. Also the app is terrible and slow. I go to this gym cause it’s close to where I live but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I went in there because I had just moved into the area and wanted a tour, spoke with a guy named Aaron. He was so pushy and rude and just wanted to make a sale. I wanted to check out the place and all he wanted me to do was sign up. Nothing was pleasant about him. This guy needs to leave before you lose business. He clearly only cares about one thing. Having a great staff is important to a business and this entitled person doesn't belong. Everyone else seems so nice.

Not sure why this gym has 4 stars…Visited this gym while I’m away from my home gym and it was a pleasant experience.There are plenty of dumbbells, benches, and almost 2 of every machine. There are 4 racquetball courts, a full basketball court, sauna, pool, etc. The gym was much cleaner than most, the staff was kind and location is good. Plenty parking.The only negative about this particular gym is the machines could be updated. They’re not old, just not “new”. Other than that there’s plenty of space, and none of the “typical” crowd you see at LA fitness.If I lived by this gym I’m 100% certain It’d be my home gym.
