Great office staff, clean facilities. My grandchildren have both been to preschool, swimming, tumbling and gymnastics programs. We love coach Andrew in tots tumbling and Ms. Jennifer manages a great preschool program!

This places lacks higiene in their gym and equipment. It is a virus revolving door. Their gym mats are never cleaned and smell very strong. Customer service is even worst. Their class cancelation is very consistent though. A common problem is their auto charging your account even after you cancel the subscription. Do not expect returned calls or emails from them.

My kids have thoroughly enjoyed their entire experience here, most of the coaches they have had are wonderful and I can see the skills they have learned everyday. They look forward to coming to classes and I look forward to them smiling as they master a new skill or complete a task that has been rough for them. Five stars for the classes and instructors.Having said that, my 3 star review is based on the facility as a whole. It does cost a small fortune to attend the classes (again, worth it for what my kids take out of it). I find it disappointing that no matter how many classes your child is in, you are capped at 2 make up classes a month (or session I believe they consider it). This little clause is hidden in the small print that I missed when I signed the release 2 years ago when we came for a birthday party. Now that we are taking classes, I was shocked when the situation came up this summer because that's essentially $60 down the drain; I would have preferred going to a makeup class but lesson learned. I can understand it's a business and there's some reasoning behind it, but if I pay for a class, I should be able to use it.Second, the app is ridiculous. Any time you call or ask for help, the first response is "well you have to do it in the app." It's not user friendly, gives errors for no reason, is not easy to find classes and, on more than one occasion, has not had classes listed that I know exist because my kid is in them! I always try to maneuver in the app, but somehow result to being the pain in the butt mom that requires help from the front desk people (who are often happy to help). Finally, my other issue is with the social media account. It is glaringly obvious by the account that gymnastics is the bread and butter of American Kids. I would estimate 85-90% of the posts are of gymnastics. Those kids work hard and should absolutely be highlighted, however, there is very little context given as to what the kid is doing or why it is so impressive. For example, there was a post recently of a young lady doing an impressive flip in the air - but as someone who is not in gymnastics, I don't know why it was so impressive, no idea what it took for her to get there, or even what comes next for her. It would be nice for some context in these situations. Mostly, it would be nice to see the other programs highlighted for families that participate in those, or potential new familiea looking for something for their kids. The swim academy probably gets the most attention of the other offerings, but even those are far and few. There are 4 dance studios upstairs and I never see anything mentioned about them; in fact they had a huge recital in May and nothing was ever mentioned. The ninja classes are another rarely mentioned - they had their first ever ninja games this summer and while there was one post about signing up, nothing about the event, the skills the kids did, or of the winners despite a staff taking pictures of it all. Even the gymnastic classes aren't highlighted - there are some great classes for the younger kids just looking to learn balance or gain independence but nothing showing how starting young could lead to the impressive flips of the aforementioned young lady. There are even parent participation classes in different programs that should be highlighted! American kids offers a wide range of activities and classes for kids of all levels, not just competitive gymnastics, and it would be nice if the facility social media highlighted that.Overall, we enjoy our experience here and would recommend it to a friend, assuming you can be flexible and have a little wiggle room in your monthly budget.I should note, I did ask the front desk if there was a suggestion box to share my concerns and was told posting a review here was the best way to get to management. In that conversation, I also learned there are kudos cards on the front desk I can fill out about specific staff members, so I'm off to fill some of those out too on the great coaches we have had.
