Cool place and cool staff from what I saw. There were never too many people at any time. My only complaint was the elliptical machines were glitchy and would cut out, this was also said from the manager. Bathrooms were clean and equipment seemed to be taken care of overall. Updated? I’m not so sure?

I have been a member at this gym for several years now. I do enjoy the convenience of being able to workout whenever, and the gym is kept in great condition. My first suggestion would be to add maybe a separate flat bench, incline bench, and decline bench press along with a preacher curl unit for doing preacher curls, but I understand space may be an issue. My second suggestion is to add some 35 pound plates to select from. There seem to be a very limited amount of 35 pound plates for doing free weight exercises.

This location does not have a mask policy, even when I joined in April before the vaccination effort ramped up. If you want to be safe and keep the community safe do not come here. [edit]The Barkley location specifically had a sign that read that patrons must wear their mask when they walk in and out of the building, but that wearing masks while exercising was not recommended.I had not noticed that when I first signed up because the staff member who helped me with the paperwork was wearing their mask and I trusted that Anytime fitness was a good business and would do the right thing for the community. When I returned to the business to exercise I was horrified to see many people without any masks (before the CDC revised guidelines for those who are fully vaccinated) and went to another location that required masks.
