Always enjoy the deep water aerobics classes. Everyone in the class seems to have a good time talking and exercising

The gym is great. Front desk lady is really nice. The daycare employees that handle the kids about 6 and up are rude and sound like they don’t get any training on how to handle the kids. Every single time I am walking through the hallway and there are kids with a daycare “teacher” the kids are being reprimanded for talking, even if everyone is standing around waiting for others to use the bathrooms. They are KIDS! It’s SUMMER! The instructors don’t say anything nicely and always sounds like they are super annoyed with the kids. Kids can be told to quiet down without the instructor saying “there is no reason for you to even have your mouth open right now” today I heard one of the instructors say “you need zero brain cells to work at waffle House!” Why make comments like this to kids? You have no idea their home life or who they have caring for them and where they work. It’s unprofessional and unnecessary.

Hot tub has apparently sat empty/broken for years. Funky energy. Steam, sauna.

This review is for the fitness center and gym. The Y has become a Medicare haven for the Silver Sneakers crowd. In the morning “the regulars” take over the fitness room/track, parking themselves on machines and talking loudly and incessantly often about polarizing politics and showing little respect for people under 70 who actually want to work out. The free weight room is excellent with awesome old school equipment although there are no windows and it needs a deep clean and new floors. Cathy is a front desk manager who greets you M-F with a smile and makes you feel welcome. The locker room is stinky and old. The fact that the monthly is over 40 dollars makes it hard to endorse as you can join the new franchise gyms for ten dollars a month and get a respectful diverse crowd there to get their workout in and get out. NEEDS HELP.

Environment is clean, all toys are sanitized often. Kids can learn lots of fun activities. Staff communicate well. Teachers make sure that students reach their potential goals in all areas. Gym and other activities are available for adults too.

My daughter has gone to daycare here for 18+ months and we are very satisfied. She is happy going to her teachers at school every day. The Y provides food for breakfast, lunch and snacks. They prepare bottles of breast milk for your baby if breastfeeding. My daughter smiles and runs to her teachers.

My son was enrolled in daycare there and I just got to the point where I have just had it. The director literally does not even return your calls or email. You have no idea what your kid is doing there all day they don't even have an app to follow them like most daycares do. My son is 3 years old and they had him in a class with five year olds and wondered why he didn't listen like the other kids do in a class. They used to send my son home with food crusted all over his face. They told me he was in a class with older children because they were short-staffed. Also they let people from the apartment hang around the daycare. Horrible. No organization whatsoever. Do not send your child here.

I wish I had a better review for the Y because I like the programs that they offer. I was very interested in putting my son in child care here. First I called a few times left messages for the child care director, not once did I receive a phone call back. I went to the facility talked to the director in person gave her my information I filled out the financial assistance papers right away. I waited a week still no phone call or email about enrollment like she promised. I called a few times left messages nothing in return. Finally 2 weeks later after my grandfather who is a member said something about it did I receive the enrollment papers in my email. I filled them out the same day, went to the Y handed them directly to the child care director she said she was going to go over the papers find my financial papers and call me with a start date for my son. I waited again for a week I heard nothing I tried reaching out by phone no answer no call back. I emailed her still nothing I sent the email again and right away she answers that she is out of town training and will review them when she gets back the following week. It’s now Tuesday of the following week and I still have not heard from here. Let’s just say I found another child care center and it only took me a couple days to get him enrolled. I understand people get busy I am a very patient person but it’s part of her job to enroll kids into her child care facility and it should not take a month and I should not have to chase a person to get him enrolled. Absolutely horrible.

We've sent both of our sons here for daycare and they've gotten great care, lots of love and have learned a ton. My older son is fully prepared for kindergarten - he can read and is advanced in math, as well. It's a great daycare facility in that they provide free swimming lessons once your kids are 3, they have lots of gyms for them to run around in and the rooms in general are large. Would highly recommend. Like some others here, it can sometimes be hard to get a call back when you're trying to enroll but I think it's mainly that the director and assistant director are sometimes subbing in the classrooms. That could be improved. But overall a great daycare with caring staff.

Considering I went to Daycare here at the Y when I was just a small child, I thought it was time to get a membership to explore what I couldn't as a child and see what they offer. Turns out, everything inside still looks the same which is good for me because I remember it all and it brings back memories. I'll have to say, the best thing is the gym. People work together when it gets too crowded, which really doesn't and if so, only lasts for under 20 minutes. No one ever bothers you, everyone is respectful and haven't had a problem with any workers. I'd say they are doing great.
